Amazing numbers his freshman and sophmore years.
Hasn't been healthy since.
Not saying that the kid is not ultra talented and won't be a star, but, this is a LOT of missed time.
Discuss how he will develop.
How are his mechanics?
Can he read a defense?
With two major injuries, does he shy away from contact?

I just hope he stays in shape and continues to rehab his knee constantly. We know he has great talent.
Its REALLLLY easy to get out of shape with two bad knee injuries like that.

Seems like a perfect redshirt candidate. Not a big issue.

Etling likely to start so a RS year would be ideal. Maybe Brennan gets some PT to separate them by a year? Either way, I think it will work itself out.

Both QB's are 100% redshirt guys IMO.
For different reasons.

Exactly, both will redshirt. Etling will start next year, and give them time to get acclimated.
2018 will (likely) have:
McMillan
Brennan
Scott
Narcisse
Not including if we pick some up next recruiting cycle

This is how it's supposed to work....freshman comes in and they red shirt....period....then ideally you have a junior/senior starter and a sophomore/junior back up....you wait your turn for 2-3 years
But now a days, if kids don't start right away, they transfer it's the nature of the beast I guess

How did he get picked for Elite 11 if he barely played?

McMillan needs to transfer. he's never gonna play here. he's definitely going to be behind Brennan and Narcisse next season, and possibly Scott.

I tend to agree with that. It can help build consistency in QB development to have guys redshirt. The expectations need to be managed for each guy though. You can't go in telling every one of them they're going to start or you will have all of them transfer out every year.
The other thing that I hope will help is that we will have a guy next year (Etling) that has starting experience and won't need to get reps late in blowout games, so we can put in a Lindsey Scott or McMillan and actually develop a back up. And continue the cycle.
Not that Miles was doing this anyway, but that was one of the reasons I hated losing the McNeese game last year. And then the South Al game this year. We need the reps for our backups. We've been robbed of that two years running. Across all positions.

But what if he likes it here, is a good guy in the locker room, and is good at learning and communicating the offense? I don't know if all those things are true, but if they are, we can't say a guy should transfer just because he isn't getting PT. He could still be an asset on the roster.

Because we would play down and only win by 10

It doesn't change any of the points being made in the thread, but didn't he actually play at least part of this season before the most recent injury?

Right. Or we'd win in a blowout and only run 50 offensive plays, with the toss dive accounting for 43 of them.

I mean, of course if he's just really enjoying his experience at LSU he should stay but if he's looking to play, it's not going to happen here.

He didn't. The biggest thing for Narcisse is going to be getting back in shape and being healthy. He's young and a super athlete so those things should come fairly easy to him unless something else goes wrong.
Once he's in shape and healthy we can take a look at him being our QB of the future. He has great skills that will give him a shot to earn the starting QB job in 2018 and beyond.

what makes ya'll think Scott is a head of McMillon right now? Neither were highly touted out of high school and McMillon is a year a head of Scott. What do ya'll base Scott > than McMillen on as it seems a given in this thread.

Many people forget that he did return just 5 months after his initial injury, just in time for the playoffs. In limited duty he had over 600 yards and 10 TDs and led SJH to the state championship game. He then attended various camps and 7-on-7 competitions with his team the Bootleggers and won multiple championships including the LSU camp. Reinjured himself in the jamboree game. Obviously the major concern is his health but if he does manage to stay healthy, look out! He's already proven that these injuries won't slow him down or affect his play on the field.

Theres a Scott lovefest on here. Im not knocking Scott, nor do I know alot about him.
But seriously baffled the amount of people that are SURE that hes the next Russell Wilson.
