Made history because he was the first person in his town to go to LSU or any SEC school. Keith Niebuhr 247 interview

Has Gilmore's number and they talk.
Says great things about Les.
Says "We" every time he talks about LSU.

Where will he play? Isn't he like 6'1"? DT? I don't see him as a DE being that short. Or, am I wrong?

All of this is off of memory. I might have it totally wrong.

Nice interview, the young mans definitely proud to be a Tiger, Has his head on straight. Seems humble and confident at the same time. Hope to see great things from him in the future. He definitely is a take. In the the final analysis most all the schools have good brick and mortar, its how you interact with the other players and the coaches that make or break the deal. I think we are in good shape when it comes down to what we have to offer a young man coming out of High School.

DE or maybe LB. I see him as a DE...6'1" doesn't have to be the be all end all, especially in college.

Dwight Freeney is 6'1".

Elivis Dumervil is 5'11".

A 6' DE is a non issue.

Lewis Neal is truly underrated. Oh well! Hidden talent's the best. TM7 was a nobody coming out of high school

Looks like he has the ability to play DE or LB, but I don't think his height will prevent him from playing DE.

Frankly, I like the idea of an undersized DE sometimes on a pass rush. Just because shorter guys often have better agility & quickness (obviously exceptions on both ends of the spectrum), and it can be hard for the taller tackles to keep up with their movements.

It's also generally easier and more natural for shorter guys to get low to the ground and turn the corner on the outside shoulder pass rush. And also easier for them to duck under a block.

I'm surprised with the success of Dumervil in the NFL, we haven't seen more teams experiment with undersized/quick twitch DEs.

No one has listened to the Rant, they been trying to get Trindon to DE for years.

Height is over valued with DEs it is about arm length

And this kid has a great inside move and that's something you don't see very often from a kid this young.

i think he was quoted after his commitment to lsu that he wouldnt mind being a "pass rusher only" type role player if thats what it took to get PT

Mingo actually plays the run quite well considering his size. Nothing that tells me he can't do it too.
