LSU needs to follow Tennessee lead and add $100 surcharge to season tickets, tailgate permits, parking fees, etc for “athlete dispersion”. Should generate $10M annually to close the NIL gap

That’s works to an extent. What if you outbid yourself and the kid says ok I’m coming and you can’t pay him? Word gets out and it’ll hurt you the following classes. At this point, your strongest offer should be on the table and let the chips fall. If he backs out, shift that money to Pickett and Anding to secure them.

Step 1: I've narrowed my choices to 112 schools
Step 2: I've made my decision to attend the University of LSU
Step 3: I'm still committed, but I will be taking visits to other schools to enjoy the process
Step 4: I am still 100% committed to the University of LSU and have shut down my recruitment
Step 5: I will be taking 1 more visit to enjoy the process

If Kelly is serious about winning titles he’s going to have to change course on a couple things. One of them being getting into bidding wars for elite talent.
They need to do what it takes to get Phillips on campus and lock up this recruiting class. If for nothing else than the optics that LSU won’t be pushed around in the NIL world.

Yep and it’s never coming back. Those with the deepest of pockets will be winners on signing day. The transfer portal is the only thing that can offset the craziness of pay for play and keep parity in the game. That’s why BK knows he has to lean into it more.
