He may be a great college player and a high draft pick, or he may be playing for Middle Tennessee in a couple of years. Nobody really knows.

I just think he's a kid who was always enamored with what he believes is a glitz & glamour lifestyle in Los Angeles. Whether it lives up to his expectations remains to be seen.

If people are going to criticize LSU for not signing him, just remember Oregon and Phil Knight's money didn't convince him, either. Somehow, some way, I suspect LSU will survive.

LSU is not going to compete for national championships if they can’t get the local defensive line studs.

Your post would make a lot more sense if he had made 1 college tackle. Amazing how people ASSUME that just because someone is rated high by SOME analysts, it is a travesty if LSU doesn't sign that player. Sort of reminds me some of the recent DL busts who were supposedly all world...Alfano (#1 overall recruit and basically never played), Womack, Nolen (only plays in situational downs for Ole Miss), Browlow-Dinty (barely plays at all), and Korey Foreman (USC to Fresno St), J Roy (LSU), etc. These players obviously aren't all from LA but if you think recruiters ratings are the be all and end all you need to watch more college football.

I am not sure if Kelly did not prioritize this prospect (local 5 star on the defensive line)

Do you think Kelly didn't prioritize a top recruit right down the road from LSU?

Maybe he did. Maybe he didn't. But it's clear that someone in the Football Operations Building isn't good at closing. They don't have brass balls.....

Why do so many think NIL payments come in one lump sum?

If he’s not picking us that's the better option

I mean to be fair, if Lincoln Riley survives another season at USC, he may be in the portal within 6 months of being on campus. We might get him at a steep discount.

I’m aware it’s a yearly contract like most scholarship packages. That doesn’t mean it wont be pissed away.

I'd say living in LA near a beach is nicer quality of life than Baton Rouge

Technically they are monthly contracts. Payments are made monthly & contracts are renewed monthly. This provides an out for both employer & employee if the employee decides to transfer at some point.

a very raw, unproven DL is not worth millions of dollars when you have a budget. This has nothing to do with closing anymore

Right. Because Southern California is such a wholesome environment filled with cultural richness and tradition.

You sure you’re not still sulking because in your lifetime OU is 0-3 vs LSU? Including one of the most embarrassing arse whipping in the history of postseason college football?

First of all retard, I’m an LSU fan.

Secondly, yes, LA is fricking awesome. Especially for an 18-year-old with a bunch of cash. Y’all are being ridiculous rn
