Landon Collins seems like a generally bad person. His brother Gerald Willis was the same. Kind of glad we missed on those two.

Yup. We got 2 of the 3 best though. The only one we really could've used was Cam Robinson. Noil and Willis were busts, but Fournette and Adams are legends at LSU now.

Not sure if it was the same class, but Robinson wasn’t in the 5 for 5 group. The last guy was DB Tony Brown, I think.

One thing i know for certain, Jamal Adams was not part of 5 for 5. He was our 11th hour replacement for Hootie Jones, who was part of 5 for 5.

One thing I know for certain is that this is incorrect. Leonard Fournette, Jamal Adams, Tony Brown, Speedy Noil and Gerald Willis III were all committing at the UnerArmour All Star game and all 5 were predicted to commit to LSU. That’s where the term 5 for 5 came from.

Not sure how he’s going to haul around hazardous chemicals in a dump truck

He’s right about Jamal Adams.
Hootie committed to Bama near signing date. Adams came into the fold.

No. Adams committed to LSU at the Army game and is one of the 5. Jones recommitted to Alabama after Adams picked LSU.

Haz Mat endorsement is sort of a catch all term that allows hauling to impacted soils to landfills.

We use dump trucks to haul soils with hazardous levels of various chemicals all the time.

Rakim Jarret comes to mind as well. I hadn’t kept up with his career after he spurned LSU but I don’t think he turned out to be all what we expected

He plays for the Buccaneers now. Has 9 catches this year and 13 for his career.

That isn't great by any means, but I didn't really expect him making the NFL, so he kind of exceeded my expectations.

IMO this will only get worth as these 18 year olds are becoming rich overnight, and most with a sub 100 IQ. Many will lose that hunger and wind up busts.....and the money will also dry up overnight. Easy come, easy go.

I think that is for college football as a whole. I would guess that more than 2% of LSU football athletes That would mean that only 1 out of every 50 scholarship football players get drafted from LSU. I would say the number is closer to 12% at LSU...if not higher.

I have said before, Ishmael Sopsher comes to mind...
And to think O wanted to bring in Ishmael's brother in an effort to sign him!

A lot of guys get mad at these kids for choosing another school, but the truth is there is often money being thrown their way.

It’s also true that sometimes guys who we fans think are great prospects are not viewed that way by our coaches.

That’s a little different. He was an elite prospect who basically quit working and became a mid level prospect. By then it was more about the perception of winning a recruiting battle against the team that was punking us for several of our top recruits each year.

I always thought the thing about 5 for5, all of them were from LA. That's why we all felt so confidant. Well, until we didn't.

Wrong, it was the 5 players we lead for who were committing at the under armor game

Adams was the replacement for hootie, that part is right. The rest is also wrong
