Jimmy Ott had some notes on Brown/Anderson

Jimmy usually isn’t a source on much of anything, despite being a radio legend
HOWEVER, he is extremely plugged into Frank Wilson and Karr in particular.
He just said that Anderson is a done deal, the “clerical error” was basically more money than what Austin Thomas had initially offered. Also said Brown is in the boat too, even said he’ll sign at the U-High pep rally tomorrow. Also noted that the Brown family and Karr community were pretty shook about the uncertainty of Frank. But, seems that’s been resolved.

Everything boils down to $$$ and Frank Wilson.

Nice....
However...it absolutely sucks that CFB is nothing but back channel shakedowns now.
Everybody is a hoe for the dollar....but national media only has a problem with Kiffin doing it

I hope that is right, that would be a great turn of events.

Were they shook when he left for UTSA a few years ago?

I don't get the infatuation with someone who won't be coaching either of these kids regardless. Like as RB coach he's not even on the same side of the ball.

Assistant/position coach leaving for a head coaching gig is not earth-shattering or unexpected.

Don't tell Wolfcola, he might lose a head gasket or something.

Sometimes relationships still matters whether you agree with it or not. Frank is thought highly of by these players and their families.

Just being devils advocate here; these are legitimate kids right now in terms of living with their parents and haven’t gone off on their own yet. Their parents entrusted Frank with their sons, so I get it from that aspect having always envisioned Frank being there for them.
At the same time, non-athletes do this all the time without a coach. Lamar Brown’s parents (to my knowledge) don’t live far away at all.

True but let’s be honest, for the majority it’s about $ now days and not relationships. Not saying that’s wrong or even the case with these 2, just an observation of the current landscape.

Everybody understands that. But at the same time if the running backs he recruits never develop very much past their high school level you may have to ask him to move into an analyst role and get some one in there that can actually coach them up. And if he doesn’t agree to that it’s on him.

Fixed it. Frank doesn't matter anymore.

Lamar Brown can get whatever LSU is offering from any similar school. Relationships do matter.

I hate Ott as a radio host but he does know New Orleans high school football.
