He tweeted about a week ago that he loves when new doors open, and that people will freak out when they see whats next, or it would shock people. He then deleted the tweet and someone posted that he got a job offer for beat recruiting for BAMA.

I dont know if it was a joke, but it seemed to match up with his deleted tweet at the time. I sincerely do hope it's a joke because with how loaded Louisiana is for this cycle it would make sense.

Jimmy has a lot of Louisiana connections, and was a major part of Bootleggers for awhile. I totally wouldnt put it past Nick Saban to pull some strings and get Jimmy work as a beat writer as an additional edge on Louisiana kids this cycle.

I hope I am totally off the mark here, but I would be pissed if that is what happened.

If it isn't, I have no idea what that tweet was about or why he is being so cryptic about what is coming next.

I used to follow Jimmy all the time, and I used to enjoy his open recruiting chats(minus the shitty format from nola) - I think they were on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

I noticed his information got more and more scarce, and with Sam Speigs coming in doing a great job giving free info on SECCountry - there was less and less information available through nola.

Unlike others who were hot and cold with Jimmy, I always liked his style and will be pulling for him as long as the Bama thing doesnt happen. I think it would be great for LSU to pick him up as an off the field consultant or something so he could work for LSU directly.

I suppose we will find out soon enough
