Can he throw strikes consistently? Control has been an issue with those power arms lately

Apparently, he will be subject to an MLB Draft prior to signing.

Hope we don’t lose him.

During the twenty years that I have known you, there have only been two times that I thought that wasn't true.

If so, then...

One of the many recruiting lines that CJJ claims to use post 2025's NC is that "LSU players in this year's draft brought in over a million dollars + in signing bonuses." But then he's also said that "MLB was tossing $2 million dollars like candy this draft".

you judging strictly off freshman season? because last 3 years our power arm starters did not struggle to throw strikes.

The one Mock Draft I could find post Schmidt's reclassification has him at #8 overall. I would think his command is pretty good to be that highly rated.

Gage Jump wasn’t even throwing 97 when he left LSU.

NIL could be a game changer for baseball, as much as I dislike the way its being abused...it has created more value for kids to choose college.

I was thinking this same thing until I found out the MLB said I don’t think so in this past draft and ponied up way more money to offer the elite recruits to counter punch the college NIL offers like a bunch of bitches. So the more college ups their NIL, the MLB is just gonna keep upping their offers. A lot of the reason this LSU recruiting class got absolutely annihilated by the draft.

Law Firm of Schmidt and Schmidt could be quite the pair next season.
Now maybe Blair will learn how to pronounce it.

Will never make it on campus with those numbers

So CJJ should just stop recruiting the top HS players? There have been a bunch of HS recruits who choose college over life in the minors. I will also say with the changes in NIL and minor league rosters, college will be more attractive to more recruits.
