Expected to commit to us according to a few articles I read this morning. Committing at the all American game this evening. Choosing between us, tenn, and usc.

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Seems to fit this impending commitment. No buzz, no intel, no nothing. Perhaps because the kid wanted to commit to USC but reportedly they said no. Seems it's a "default" commitment. Just doesn't get the senses tingling considering there's a year to go, the stink of the Underwood saga is still felt and we are no better than 2nd choice as it stands. Add to that he's from MS in an absolutely loaded class there next year and i doubt many are holding their breath that he sticks throughout. But
anyway. Take them as they come.

Fun for brand recognition, but other than that high school recruiting is completely dead to me.

Commit means nothing these days

Commit to LSU.
Yet take visits.
Stay committed and talk about honoring commitment.
Increase bag from LSU.
Jump to largest bidder around 12-10-25.

Who cares? High school recruiting sucks now. We really shouldn’t put much effort or energy into watching it anymore as a fanbase.

A top Dline guy from MS committing early?
I'm sure this one will be uneventful until signing day

Unfortunately a lot of these kids wont play here. Only a very small percentage of the class will play meaningful snaps during their first two seasons. Only the elite prospects will get an early opportunity to get in the rotation. The middle to bottom half of the class will buried on the depth chart until they hit the portal because these staffs are constantly looking for "plug & play" experience in the portal.
As HS prospect, it seems like a better idea to go where there is an immediate need for you at lower tier P4 or G5 program. Play early/develop there and hit the portal for a bigger program after a year or two.

And now, you can go the JUCO route for 2 years and still have 4 years to play at the next level.

BUT, if he's a top 10 DL as the OP suggests, he may see some early PT.

5 to play 4 actually still
I feel like that loophole will get closed though, it just seems ridiculous someone could spend 3 years at a JUCO (playing 2 years) then come to a D1 school and then have 5 years to play 4. Someone can literally be in college for 8 years playing football...and thats assuming they dont even get a medical redshirt which they could and be in school for 9 years

Talking about 26-27 year olds in college football potentially.
But if I'm a 2-3 star guy without any real major offers, I'd seriously consider the JUCO route, becuase you'll probably play right away, and have a much better chance with plenty of years to spare to play immediately at a D1 school afterwards because you'll effectively be 20-21 entering the d1 school.

Appears that LSU will get the early commitment but doesn't give the warm and fuzzies about actually sticking by ESD.

Yea, I’ll give a boom message today if so but still a long time for everyone to try to flip this guy.

No it doesn't. Just look at the 2025 class minus underwood.
