The dude has been on LSU's campus the vast majority, if not his entire school life. You want him to stay 3 more years? You'd have to love LSU and where you live with everything you got.

When you live in Louisiana long enough then visit other places in the country, you can't wait to get away fast enough. These are facts. Deal with it son. It's not a knock on him and quite frankly, it's none of your business why he wants to leave. Broaden your horizons and you'll understand why LA keeps losing population.
This post is especially retarded coming from somebody who has followed recruiting for a long while.

If that were true, how tf have we had so many Louisiana kids stay when they've visited so many other places??? We've gotten kids from Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Memphis, Oklahoma City, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Phoenix, Nashville, Dallas, Brooklyn, Salt Lake City, Baltimore and many, many, many other places. These weren't 3 star players either outside of maybe 1-2.

Gotcha. I read your statement as geared more towards recruits wanting to leave. It makes more sense directed towards the other guys statement.

Ausberry is not property of lsu.

I don’t care if he was conceived and born on the 50 yardline of TS.

No one was hurt because Orgeron son went to mcneese. Because he wasn’t a superstar.

Ausberry is a great prospect and had options. He chose a different option.

Do you think Akron fans are livid at Jason Taylor for allowing his son to go to lsu? Taylor was arguably their best player ever and they don’t melt over his son coming here.

Same with Moss. He went to NCstate, then here. Were marshal fans crying about that?

Y’all get over it.

Give me the list of U-high grads that went to Alabama.

Guys I found on 24/7 since 2017

Dylan Moses (listed as IMG) (2017)

Christian Harris (2019)

That can't be right, so I checked back to 2012 and found almost nothing.

Tim Williams (2013)

Can that be right?

ETA: Added Tim Williams (2013) Thanks BayouTigers4Life.

Any others you guys see, please tell me so I can add them.

Also note that I went back to 2007 and found no others from 2007-2011. Of course I have shown I do miss things

Apples and oranges. Outside of Alabama, LSU can match or beat any situation a college football program can offer.

The Ausberry boys don't want to be here. We don't know all of the dynamics at play. LSU benefits from being the hometown/state school more often than not.

Austin went to Auburn. A podunk town with a lame-duck coach. That should tell you all you need to know.

Because 1. you do not know the environment that some of these kids grew up in. It may be best for them to move away because of how toxic some of the people are that they grew up with. How often do you hear about kids coming home from school and getting arrested with kids in the car youve never heard of? It's just sometimes better to just move away from the things that bring you down and focus on your career to be the most successful you can be.

2. They just may not be the best fit for our system.

And what do you think fans from other teams are saying about those kids? Do you think Mizzou fans are happy that a top 10 nationally ranked tight end that was born and raised 2 hours away just committed to a school with in their conference that's 10 hours away?

Unfortunately for a lot of people this is true. I have been back 4 years after 23 away in Denver and Atlanta. Lots of US and International work.

The people in Baton Rouge are a hidden gem. But once you set out into the world. There are a lot of eye opening opportunities that don’t really exist here. Mostly referring to jobs and business.

Again I am here because I want to be

Our infrastructure, education and crime are pretty big problems in the eyes of an outsider.

All of my kids left and won’t come back. The economic opportunities just are not here in enough numbers. Sad

He went where he was being recruited to go to. It wasn't until the new staff that anyone from LSU even attempted to recruit him.

If there is anyone to "blame" for him leaving, it's the mouth breathing rock eater we allowed to run our program into the ground.

You know sometimes we make a big deal about players leaving to go elsewhere but its hit or miss on those guys making it big. Mose and Allen went undrafted. Sopsher didn't last a season under Saban. Let them do them and LSU will be fine.

This is a terrible take on Jalen. LSU will be in it at the end when he decides. You have to understand its very different for him because he basically grew up on LSU campus his entire life he knows everything about LSU. Very good player but its about the coach for him and development. I think BK hire was great for him as well as Matt House so it will be very interesting down the stretch on what school he chooses. he is very high on the new coaching staff if you listen to his interview 2 weeks ago on The Jordy Culotta Show.

Absolutely correct. Louisiana is examples of everything not to do from a leadership perspective. It has some of the worst leaders in the country consistently that continue to tear it down.

Remember your history with Louisiana. It was once the shining jewel of the country to now falling to one of the more poverty stricken states. Businesses leave and things continue to get worse. States don't lose population, they're suppose to grow. Think about that for a second.

Some will stay and be loyal but otherwise will see greener pastures elsewhere. You can't really fault them for that.

Thank Damatha, I was really just talking about football and recruits that live in BR and Father employee of LSU not giving us the time of day. But I do agree wholeheartedly on your suggestion though that if these pessimistic whiny ah don’t want to live here there are several 47 ranked highways leading out in all directions so They can GTFO!

I see what OP means. Sure I understand that some local kids want to go out of state. This is not just some local kid. LSU has fed his family. Literally and figuratively. Show some respect. Sure, be up front and say you’re looking out of state. But why not add that you recognize LSU and what it means to this state and the Ausberry family?
Makes me wonder what poppa Verge says when he’s at home.

Playing major D1 football is not even remotely close to choosing where you want to live, work, and raise a family. Do you think kids care about roads, jobs, or infrastructure? They are going to immaculate facilities and will spend most of their time in a bubble or chasing pussy at the bars.

Sometimes kids do want to just go somewhere else but it's not because they are worried about their job prospects after college, healthcare, or what other problems Louisiana has.

Ever consider that both of the Ausberry boys want to distance themselves from the shadow of their dad? Not a knock on Verge Ausberry at all. Just a family dynamics reality that happens from time to time with most teenagers and their parents. They do come back. It just takes time for youths to come to realize that mom and dad aren't stupid - actually were pretty bright. Really pretty amazing they made the decisions they did so much better than "junior" under similar conditions. Growing up will do that to kids [today and fifty years ago].
