Ever consider that both of the Ausberry boys want to distance themselves from the shadow of their dad? Not a knock on Verge Ausberry at all. Just a family dynamics reality that happens from time to time with most teenagers and their parents. They do come back. It just takes time for youths to come to realize that mom and dad aren't stupid - actually were pretty bright. Really pretty amazing they made the decisions they did so much better than "junior" under similar conditions. Growing up will do that to kids [today and fifty years ago].
Wow. Great take, Wood Man.

What would any of us say if Alabama fans acted like this?

That’s all you have to ask yourself.

excellent!

It is the natural order of things for boys to want to separate from their fathers. There's a subconscious pull there. It is evolution.

Add to that sons who play competitive sports want to even more so because the nature of that competition pulls even stronger where they want to be known for their own accomplishments and do not want it tied to a father.

Obviously, this isn't 100% every time. There are other factors also. But that is often the deciding factor when that son has options, as does Ausberry.

Curtis is going to either Ohio State, USC or Wisconsin.

I talked to a young guy from Many yesterday and asked him about Curtis and the chance of him at LSU. He said he believes it will be USC. Said for some reason his entire family is enamored with USC.
