We can pay, people need to stop acting like LSU is poor. We just don't spend the money. BK has said multiple times, he doesn't want to buy teams and build a roster. Well that wont cut it in today's CFB world. Then he goes about how we freed money up after we lost BU, but again he's just a bitche who does not belong at LSU.

Honestly given the bust rate of HS kids I’d rather us be portal reliant than tossing out pay days to these kids that will hit the portal the minute they don’t like something. At least in the portal you have a better idea of what you’re getting. This is my current copium

Counterpoint: the transfer portal has a higher concentration of busts, malcontents and mercenaries than the general recruiting pool. You’re inviting more of those problems, not less, by being more reliant on the portal.

There are agents and greedy family members behind the scenes pulling the strings doing everything they can to up the offer. It’s all about greed and the almighty dollar for these kids and their families.
