Is there a La school that LSU football still can’t recruit?

It seems like BK has locked down the state. Are there any La. schools that LSU still can’t get like under Les or O?

Not that I’m aware of. BK has regained control of North LA and Many. Frank Wilson has the city on lockdown again. It’s good to be in P&G.

O had largely "locked down" the state when it came to big prospects...except for those who attended Amite or U-High.

Last year was a good LA class. But there was no reason to expect BK to "lock it down" given the coaching change. This year Kelly has locking down LA. But it's also (on paper at the moment) one of the weaker LA classes relative to past classes (only 2 top 100 players-according to 247-at this time). Thus, there is less competition for those guys. That's NOT to say Kelly is doing a bad job recruiting. It's just that we won't fully be able to know if he has "locked down" the state until we see one of those great LA classes where all of the top contenders are fighting tooth and nail for multiple top guys.

Agree. And let's see what happens the next time a U-High kid is heavily recruited. The sites adopted the narrative that U-High kids all wanted to leave Baton Rouge as if it was just a natural feeling. Curiously, the narrative didn't apply to other Baton Rouge kids? But, I'm sure it was just a honest explanation provided by the various Shannon Terry sites.

The big difference is that the U-High kids are on campus already. They have PE in the UREC. They take trips to the student union. They play literally next door to the LSU practice facility.

If we get Moses from U-high 25, the tide will turn for LSU no pun intended.

Recent history indicates the barber now specializes in New Iberia haircuts.

I am not sure this isn't more myth than truth.

Did a deep dive on 247. Looking at the how many top 10 Louisiana recruits LSU got each year from 2005-2024 and here is what I found

Under Miles - average 6.75
2005 6
2006 8
2007 5
2008 7
2009 6
2010 7
2011 7
2012 6
2013 8
2014 5
2015 7
2016 9

Orgeron - Average 5

2017 3
2018 5
2019 8
2020 3
2021 6

Kelly - Average so far 4.667 (if they pick up one more in 2024 and it's 5)
2022 3
2023 4
2024 7

The class was half transfers and im fairly certain more than a few of the HS recruits did not sign until after BK was there. So I’d say it’s pretty easy to call it his class. And pretty easy to understand why he did not get as many of the top 10 in Louisiana.

LSU needs to stop UHigh’s recruiting. UHigh takes top recruits, being there removes all the mystery of LSU. Kids are ready for something else by the time they’re upperclassmen.
