I think they shouldn't focus on Emery at a cost of losing Cain. They need to keep in touch with the kid but not make it seem like they are the broken hearted girlfriend that just got dumped and can't handle the rejection. Once they show you who they are, believe them. The kid doesn't bleed purple and gold and we shouldn't try to make him.

We do have to be careful with how Cain and Emery are approached going forward, but the emery recruitment is far from over. Expect this one to go down to signing day.

Yep. I don't want to see another Surtain/Goodrich scenario.

If the staff doesn't play this right we will see Emery at GA and Cain at Texas.

It's not over. But it doesn't help that UGA has him now. They're building a juggernaut over there.

It’s impressive how they convince these elite kids to sign at positions they are absolutely loaded at with young depth. Justin Fields is a great example. Most elite kids want immediate playing time and know they may not get it there.

I have full confidence that Orgeron will screw things up with Cain, by chasing Emery too long, and we get neither of them.

Reminds me a lot of...Surtain/Goodrich/Foster!

Orgeron has NO business running a major SEC program!

Doesn't seem like he was ever that high on LSU. Keep recruiting him but if he says he's solid to Georgia I'm gonna take him at his word.

Go get Cain.

He and cain were somewhere together a while back.

My thoughts are he knows cain is coming for sure, and he knows he cant beat him out.

Did people just forget “The Meat Market” is based around Ed Orgeron? Lmao

Is it really that inconceivable that LSU goes 10-3 and a few bags of cash are given to his family before signing day?

Lots can happen. We need to actually fricking win again for starters. Kicking UGA’s arse in Death Valley wouldn’t hurt

Didn’t we want Cain over Emery anyways? Landed both would be epic, but we already have a top ten back committed.

Three signed backs on top of CEH, Provens, etc?

Guys wanna play. Emery choosing UGA with their stable makes me wonder what gives.

The best thing for Emery is to take a lot of visits. Hopefully he will realize that everywhere he goes things are about about the same at the top programs.

Maybe be then he will realize that staying home may be best

I know kids go out of state all the time to play at different colleges. But one would think this would really come into play for his family and friends. Georgia is a hell of a lot further than LSU.

Does he have an official visit scheduled for us?

They will keep recruiting him up until the very end. I would honestly be surprised if he ends up at UGA. I don't know if he'll be at LSU, but I'm guessing he just got wrapped up in the UGA hype (understandably so). But he could come to LSU and be the dude right away.. he's going to have to fight for playing time in Athens.

And I agree with OP - Georgia came out of nowhere. If we go out and beat UGA and/or Bama on the field, we can definitely sway Emery back our way.

Agree. Some people are sleeping on Davis. I think he's like the 6th ranked RB in the country. I'd say Emery and Cain are top tier - Davis right below them - and then a significant drop off. If we can keep Davis and get one of either Emery or Cain I will be satisfied.
