Obviously nothing is over til a kid signs, but does LSU back off or instead dive in deeper? UGA out of
nowhere just makes me think it’s not over honestly with even the early signing period being so far away. Who knows though.

This recruiting game is just stupid by the way.

It's not. I'm not saying he will end up in BR, but i'm calling it now, he will de-commit! He's going to give GA the eventually.

So on July 30th 2018, it’s over for a kid from Destrehan?

Well, he went from being "the guy" at MSU to leaning LSU for a couple reasons (which many analysts were all over), to committing at a visit which UGA, to their credit, went all out for (visit commits this early are always circumspect) in the course of like 2 weeks... in July.

I say no.

If LSU were to go say 10-2, maybe. As it is now...it’s over. Go get Noah Cain

No but I have doubts he ends up at LSU, seemed like he wanted to leave the state from the get go

Of course this all can change, we still have ways to go until signing day, and we all know this stuff is fluid, and recruiting changes happen for better and for worse throughout the entire cycle

LSU's shot is really with Cain but LSU will have to work real hard to get him.

Jesus. No it’s not over. We’re still going to recruit him very hard. Georgia was an unexpected commitment. He just had everyone in his ear down there. Calm down we still have a chance with him. If not Cain isn’t a downgrade IMO.

LSU will continue to pursue Emery but should focus on getting a verbal from Cain; he is just as talented and capable. If they go after Emery too hard Davis and Cain may feel unappreciated and go elsewhere; no one likes to feel like they are a 2nd and 3rd choice.

If it’s true he told the staff that he was coming then committed to UGA then the staff needs to cut the cord and focus on Cain

This I agree with... kinda.

You should definitely change how you approach him, for the team's sake. If cut the cord, keep some lifelines. Should definitely make it known to Cain, not Emery, that he is now the priority. In return, let him know there are expectations of a commit and maybe a Dec signing.

"recruiting is fluid" works both ways.

Not over. Has he announced that he’s shutting it down and cancelling all OV’s? LSU should and will continue to recruit him hard. However if Cain wants in — hopefully O takes the commitment immediately

Of course not. With a new coach and nearly two months between the end of the season and signing day, who knows what will happen?

Emery was very seriously considering LSU. His parents have to take into consideration all the travel expenses. With a good season and keeping the pressure on and constant communication we definitely still have a shot.

A month ago he said he wanted to be THE feature back wherever he goes.

Yesterday he committed to a school that is absolutely loaded at RB.

So no, it wouldn't be surprising if his commitment wavers.

Are you new to TR? Where any commitment to LSU is still "I'll wait until signing day to believe it" and where any commitment to any other school is a done deal, locked down, it's over.
