He signed the worst HS class at LSU in 15 years his 2nd year here.

He star chassed and misevaluated way too much. He had no organization which led to no backup plans when he whiffed on big time guys.

His retention rate on recruits was horrible as a HC

Yeah. Orgeron's reputation as a recruiter is massively overblown. Pre-transfer portal he was losing multiple players every season that should have stayed for 2-3 more years.

I think the better question is has this class been appropriately rated? Louisiana is consistently in top 3 when it comes to talent per capita..

How they are rated means a lot. Ruston has 3 defensive players who should be rated higher than 3 stars, yet, they are 3 stars still. The bookend DEs are receiving power 5 offers daily now. I can tell you if Lance Heard is a 5 star OT, then Geordan Guidry should at least be 4 stars. He out-played Heard in that game head to head.

You have to wait until after the summer camps to judge the strength of a Louisiana recruiting class. Lot of not well known names blow up at that time, then more emerge during senior season

Yeah, we absolutely can. He fricked it all up, including the progress he had made in keeping most of the best LA recruits home from 2018-2020. That damage to recruiting and relationships doesn’t just disappear overnight.

How many are playing baseball instead? I know that's an issue around here. The ones that dominated in middle school are quitting before or after their freshman year. Baby Pearson was an absolute monster MLB and he hasn't played football since his freshman year, when he committed to LSU baseball.

Maybe 1-3. There isn't a bunch of white kids who are elite level cfb players choosing baseball instead in the state of LA

LSU is going heavy out of state like they did last year. Three of LSU's top 4 commits for 2023 were out of state. Seven of the top 10 were out of state.

I remember on Moscona’s show when Carley was on there as the producer she mentioned him and Justin Bieber. Don’t know how those two knew each other but she was obsessed with Justin Bieber. RIP Carley.
