i could die as an Lsu fan knowing that in a national title game, all of our 1s, 2s, 3s, and walkons got onto the field by the end of the game.

talk about an advertisement to parents of recruits.

I believe only 85 are allowed to travel for bowl games. I know only 85 can travel for SECCG. Another little known fact is only 70 are allowed to travel for road SEC games. Home teams really have a huge advantage and the road team has to leave at least 15 scholarship players at home.

Bowl games and OOC are unlimited. You often see more walk ons dressed for bowl games than you do in the regular season.

Recently I can think of JD Moore and Connor Neighbors, both were beasts. Avery Atkins this year.

Zach Von Rosenberg was originally a walk on. Received a scholarship last season I think.

Walk ons are an important part of the team. Most of the players are extremely talented and decided to go to a particular school as a walk on for many reasons, such as it's their dream school, they didn't like the other offers they received and some just want to stay close to home. Walk ons allow teams to have quality scrimmages that simulate real game situations and, if you're lucky, one or two will eventually be offered a scholarship.

I don’t think too many guys stay as walk ons for more than 1 or 2 years. You’re having to pay your way, spend tons of time practicing, neglecting your studies, and never play a down. I wouldn’t do it!

I believe more stay than you realize. Seems like every Senior Day therea are more walkons introduced than scholarship players.

I think Texas De Brazil has historically been more important to our recruiting efforts

Daniel Graff was really fast and great in coverage.

I believe Colt David was originally a walk-on. Avery Atkins this year. Drew Alleman for at least his first two seasons. I also believe Colby Delahoussaye and Dennis Johnson were walk-ons initially.

The most successful SEC walk-on I can think of is Chris Doering who eventually became the number one receiver for the Spurrier era Gators.

The food is decent. But I don’t think their that important. Honestly prefer Copeland’s.
