I've watched the discussion but stayed out of it because I do not have inside info. After seeing that tonight, there were a lot of things that were obvious from both body language and what was actually said. The family REALLY wants him to stay home and go to LSU. It's hard to understate how significant it was that Mom went that far in stating her disapproval on national TV. The other thing that I noticed was the demeanor of the girlfriend. Looked smug. She is defiantely pushing this (Alabama). I also got the impression that the Mom is about as happy with the girlfriend as she is with the decision.

Just an observation. I don't believe for a second that it was happenstance that Les Miles saved the in-home visit for later.

Let him go to Bama. He doesn't have respect for his mama nor himself. Arrogant, disrespectful and delusional he's already drank the gump kool-aid.

Made me sick as well to see him put on the Bama gear. I was pissed when he picked Bama but to be honest, I kinda don't want him at LSU. As said previously, there are plenty of guys that would love to play here and those are the kind of guys we want.

Anyone that says he is still coming to LSU, please take the P & G glasses off. He just announced on national TV that he is leaving his home state .......to play in the same conference nonetheless.
If he wants Bama then I wish the kid luck.

Back to bidness in NO.

If he's willing to tell the family what they want to hear, then disrespect them on national TV, then he's willing to tell them what they want to hear and sign with Bama on NSD. Can't think LSU has much more than a puncher's chance here.

The girlfriend is running that show, anyone can see that. He's in love.

I don't know much about the girlfriend, other than what's been posting on occasion, but he stated in a post-game interview that his decision was really made two years ago. He just had to be sure. Undoubtedly his family knew, or had clues to such. I think that's why his mother wasn't initially attended the game. Regardless, Alabama will have to recruit as hard, if not harder than before his announcement.

We will be fine without him. Remember the meltdown with Joe McKnight. Worked out fine.

Men have been doing stupid shite since Adam was chasing Eve. We haven't learned a damn thing in
1 million years.

This will end badly just like all the other
decisions made by man with the little head.

I will pray for you LC. You will need it. One day you will thank me. Get prepared for 7 years of bad luck.

If this kid wants to go to Alabama but is told by his Mama where to go then I think we end up with a player that doesn't want to be here. That could be a big problem in the long run.

The in-state colleges who don't support LSU...

He said he made this decision two years ago, and from everything I read he wasn't even really raised by his mom who obviously didn't support the decision. His Grandmother seemed thrilled and obviously he already has a set of other parents with his GFs family.

People need to chill...We are chatting and flipping out over an 18 year old kid. Miles is a great "Closer" for LSU. Trust in Miles and the staff. Landon Collins is not bigger than the LSU Program...Remember, we do have his mother on our side.

Next week, Miles will share that nice NCAA crystal with M. Edwards, T. Howard, including L.Collins and others. Feb. 1, 2012 is going to said it all.

The Tigers will finish strong in recruiting this year.

Collins got used to losing at DutchTown. They never could finish the season... He will experience the same with Bama...

If I'm not mistaken Miles still has his in-home visit to go. Time for the closing magic with Momma

It's out of Miles hands now. One of you secret big money boosters needs to remind him that he can't take his Dutchtown Nissan dealership with him to Tucaloser.

We had a similar deal with Brent Calloway last year. His family seemed very upset when he announced Auburn. Of course you know BC ended up at Bama. The biggest difference though was you could tell BC didn't really seem committed to his decision either. It was very strange. Same thing with Cyrus Kuaondjio when he announced Auburn. He switched to Bama in the next few days. But LC seemed very happy to be picking Bama. I think that's a big difference. These things are impossible to really see what happens but thought you guys may want to hear perspective on 2 sets of unhappy parents.

The problem most people are having is that Saban came to Louisiana and got the #1 and #2 prospects in the state.

The family's of these highly touted recruits lose more than most people realize. They have to wake up every day and be around people who know that their son strung along their favorite school. Especially when you know before they had people going out of their way to be nice to them. That is all over with, and the mom knows it. It is going to hurt her family over the next several years. It also means that she will be a long ways away from her son. Does the family have money? They might not have the ability to travel to T-town 8 times a year to see him play.

Yeah, he does seem to go out of his way to bring attention to himself. I think he played our coaching staff and the media with that intent.
