There is no way he switches. He loves Bama like we love lsu and nothing will change that. His family has already tried convincing and it hasn't worked. His gf followed him to Bama.

Oh well hope we finish with Edwards and Howard or I can live with just kiel as our lone 5 star.

I can't wait till the tigers show landon arse how its done

Best of luck to the kid. Really you want him to pick off how many passes against us next year? Louisiana kids should go to LSU to play football, enough said.

I don't know.. he's probably going to wind up hating LSU even more.. look at it like this, have you ever dumped a girl that your family LOVED? then they push you and push you to get back with her.. which in turn makes you resent her even more?? might wind up like that but nobody knows

I agree.

For a parent to openly show that she disagrees with her son's decision, it makes me think he's going for the wrong reasons and momma knows it.

best of luck to the kid. This state is full of great athletes that dream of wearing the purple and gold. It is his life and I hope things work out well for him except when he is playing against the Tigers. Watching these all star games in a way makes me sick, so much flash from all the skill players and ultimately the guys that win the games in College football are the ones that put their hand on the ground and can bloody someones nose. Give me the guys that want to be Tigers and even more SEC championships are on the way.

I figured he would commit to Bama but I was shocked (like most) that his mom was that unsupportive of his decision.

Well, the world won't come to an end if LC goes to Bama. Coach Miles will take the spot held for him and bring in another championship caliber player. I really don't understand, though, any Louisiana native wanting to play anywhere other than LSU....

It's over. He wants to be at Bama, and, frankly, he should stay where his heart is. I wish he hadn't played games with everyone, but it is what it is.

Certainly the weirdest announcement I've seen

+1

Also I still don't get how someone could like the Bama coaching staff more than the LSU staff. The whole announcement and reasons just seemed so weird.

Regardless he is currently Tiger Bait.

Props to the shout out from mom regardless if it was genuine or not.

I would be satisfied if Les Miles just cut anchor on him and didn't use the in home visit his still has.

Is Collins an awesomely talented safety? Yes, but we are rolling in DB talent lately. We have been fine pretty much without Loston the last couple of years, and he was a 5* safety, although I still have high hopes for Loston in the future. The LSU DB situation, coaches and talent, is beyond elite right now. If Landon is too stubborn one way or another to see that, well then let him live with his decision.

Meanwhile, TM7 and Reid will be competing for Thorpe awards and Defensive player of the year awards for the next couple of years. And after that, Cooper and Chavis will work wonders with the next big talent, just like they have had since they started working together.

Seriously a emberassing moment for his mother unless she was acting surprised. You would have thought his mother would have been privy to her sons decision. Almost as if he changed his mind as the entire family seemed shocked and seriously unhappy with his decision. I thought a couple of the younger members on top row were going to cry. The out of control one in red was the only one supportive.

I don't know why people saying it is over. If he refuses Les Miles' in home visit it is over. Until then it is still on.

If he's willing to tell the family what they want to hear, then disrespect them on national TV, then he's willing to tell them what they want to hear and sign with Bama on NSD. Can't think LSU has much more than a puncher's chance here.

The girlfriend is running that show, anyone can see that. He's in love.

def was all an act! but who was sving face? LC didnt seem too comfortable, but his mom might've just been "acting" and saying right things because she still will be living in Louisiana and dosnt want to be hammered all the time about it.

Im leaning towards it being an act, Miles still has an in home visit left so he'll go at him again. its not over. if it is firm then so be it, hes a great player ,we'll see how he develops for Bama.

Can Landon's mom play linebacker? She seems like a slight lean to LSU.
