How long before we start signing QB like Tua or Trevor Lawrence and have them for 3-4 years?

QBs have been committed for a long time at this point mostly, they have worked at least 1 high level QB for a flip but it's highly unlikely (DJ U.). Looking towards 2021, QBs very rarely flip unless it's a unforeseen circumstance.

I know who DJ is. Do have any inside information or just reading the boards?

If LSU were to beat the hell out of Clemson, I wonder if that would have an impact on DJ. A guy can dream!

I suspect TJ and Max are the two QBs that we ultimately sign this year. Would love to be able and flip one of those big names but maybe TJ or Max will deliver for us. Could also be Parrish or Brennan. I guess we'll see

Unless you truly know something here I don't think we have a shot at DJ flipping on Clemson. If this is true, then this has been very tight lipped.

We all know the name.

What we don't know is whether or not we're actually recruiting him.

Big, strong armed quarterback with generational arm strength. Has a big frame but looks lean and is well put together. Has one of the strongest arms in recent memory and has won ‘long ball’ contests with a throw of 80+ yards. Is much more than a big arm. Shows great touch, accuracy to all three levels of the field and greet natural feel for throwing the football. Understands when to take a little off, throws with anticipation and is a plus athlete as well. Has the ability to run zone read and is a very good runner in the open field. Can buy time and is accurate throwing down the field rolling out to his right or his left. Natural leader and a great teammate who is also a potential high round draft pick in Major League Baseball. Can still improve going through progressions and finding secondary receivers as well as escaping pressure. Upside is off the charts. Projects as a impact upper tier Power 5 starter and future early NFL draft pick.

Yeah...I'll take him as Burrow's replacement.

Yeah. It seems they don't want to disappoint the two loyal QB commits we have. They are actually not as bad as their rankings show. But, it also seems they're comfortable with Myles for next season. So, Caleb next year may work as well.

All these said, with the attacking scheme we have, I personally prefer Bryce over DJ. It would also work as a double recruiting as we sack a QB from this Alabama class. Will pay off next year, or the year after next year.

We all want the best recruits we can get including DJ. That being said, taking his commit would be a big mistake because we would probably to tell Johnson see you.

Right now we are the hot name so the damage is minimal if we screw over recruits. In a couple years though it will be different because we are bound to take a step back and another team will be the hot name. That is when the character or lack of character the coaches have will come into play.

If O screws over Johnson he will never again believable when he tells two recruits we are taking the first one who commits. Every school negative recruits and O will never live this down.

This reminds me of the kid whose best friend is a nerdy girl and he wants to take the school beauty to the prom. He gets up the nerve to ask and beauty say yes, but he finds out she is a bitch and his best friend is who he should have taken all along.

Its great we have 30 commits, but O better be careful because even though recruiting is a dirty business things like reputation, loyalty and integrity do matter in the end game.

Beat me to it. Recruits can sign December 20-22 iirc. In the event both teams make the playoff and play, that wouldn’t happen until 12/31at the earliest. The ink on DJ’s LOI would be dry at that point.
