We have a QB whisperer now. Every QB is not worth the 5 star rating an it's very hit or miss. You have to be able to develop QB's and if Joe Brady is sold on what we have, I don't think we can question that much.

I think Brennan had the leg up in next year's competition and would be great to have an upperclassman to hand that off too. Parrish would have to light the world on fire to win that battle and I see him willing to wait his turn if he doesn't get it right away as well.

The commits can't expect to win that battle day. Perfect world would allow Brady to groom whoever it is for a couple or few years.

Saban has been doing this since he arrived at Alabama. He pulls in repeated #1 classes because this is how he plays the game. And look at the results.

If there was any movement with DJ it would have to pan out before early signing period bc both Max Johnson and TJ Finley are early enrollees.

So if the flip hasnt happened by then then LSU isnt going to take 3 QBs.

Those things matter but so does winning. You said it, recruiting is a dirty business. And it's fluid.

What if a kid commits as a Junior but then regresses as a Senior. It obvious to the staff that the kid has peaked and they determine that he's a marginal SEC backup. Do they still bring him? Do they turn away better players to keep him?

Or do they be honest with the kid and let him know that they have decided to go in another direction? What's wrong with that? If they give the recruit plenty of time to reopen their recruiting process I don't see any problem with it. Now if they act like the fax is broken on NSD then that would be different.

Haven’t paid much attention to Caleb Williams but why is everyone thinking we get him? 247 says Georgia is favored to get him.

Don't forget about Parish, this kid is very competitive and
has been winner his entire high school career.
Also Max Johnson is the son of a NFL qb which means he understands the game and is used to film sturdy, i'm not saying he will be as good as Burrow, but he has great size, been around the game all of his life, and is one tough qb.
Both Finley and Johnson has a lot of confidence in their own ability, my point; i'm all in favor of bringing in the highest rate player that you can at each position, but less give the kids a chance before writing them off

Watching Peter Parish in warmups this year, the ball doesn't fly out of his hand well at all. He needs to strengthen his arm a tremendous amount for him to ever get a look at our starting spot.

We all want the best recruits we can get including DJ. That being said, taking his commit would be a big mistake because we would probably to tell Johnson see you.

...ok?

What's the problem?

Probably been asked before. But DJ plays baseball, say we get lucky. Couldn't we put him on a baseball ship and keep all QBs? Also, our baseball is a one up on Clemson's. Probably would be a load on him though as he clearly likes quarterbacking more than relief pitching.

If a player plays football he's on a football scholarship. For example, Maurice Hampton is on a football scholarship and not a baseball scholarship and Jordan Toles will count against the football scholarship limit and not basketball.

maybe TJ or Max will deliver for us

If Max Johnson played on a team like IMG Academy he would be a 5 star. Unfortunately he doesn't and that hurts his stats. And that is about the only thing some people judge him by. And no matter how many times you try and explain the intricate aspects of the QB position, these people just cannot grasp the concepts. They see the 5 stars and a great stat line and suddenly they think they are looking at the next future NFL HOF QB. They cannot watch film and because they don't know what they are looking at, or looking for. And no matter how many times you explain things, they just don't get it.
Max Johnson is going to be a very good college QB. He is going to shock so many people that are clueless as to what A good QB is.

Winning is the only thing that matters. I’ve seen Nick Saban pull Jarez Parks offer on NSD and never skip a beat. These kids will have time to move on.

You take the best 25, not the first 25. He’s paid to win, not to coddle kids.
