I live in Houston and they play some good competition. They put out some d1 prospects every year.

Kid looks like he has great upside. He’s a little raw probably a year 3 starter. I could see him eventually being a George Pickens type reciever

He seems more like a Chase Claypool or Myles Boykin like Kelly had at Notre Dame. Probably puts on 15-20 pounds and then hes a big kid who goes over the middle and wins a lot of 50-50 balls.

There's value in that. I don't know that he's ever really more than a WR2 or WR3, but you need that as well.

When you have good coaching, you don't need 5 stars to win.

Ehhh I can’t name one National Champ that didn’t have 5* talent at multiple positions on the roster on both sides of the ball

Did you watch his HS tape? He was long, lanky and kinda gangly

lafell in high school

Lafell wasn't as gangly as this kid.

Lafell had way better skills and agility.

Is it me but this staff seems like they don't give a hoot about stars, but rather trust their own evaluation and judgement when it comes to players.

Keep in mind this is a 2022 kid. Not sure there are many remaining uncommitted WR's in this cycle that are rated much higher.

Could be really effective as a blocker for the running game.

Yeah I don't see the lafell comparison.

This dude has Randall Cunningham type strides.

George Pickens type is a pretty good comparison IMO also, Good hands and goes up and gets the ball.

Jaray Jenkins was brought in as kind of a 3rd year starter and that's worked out well. Kelly is looking for depth, I'm assuming, with long term potential.

He’s top 5 all-time at LSU in career receptions, yds, and TDs despite having abysmal QB play his last two seasons, but go ahead and shite on him for mistakes early in his career.

I would take a player like him on this team in a heartbeat.

Hightower plays in a very good district. Although it is 5a and not 6a.

Manvel and Peatow play in the same district. Both very good. Peatow is a new school and just won state. They also played Westfield which is a very good 6a team last year.

He looks like a real hidden gem in his tape.
