In the modern world of NIL, everyone knows that these are one-year deals on present-day commitments.

Just say something simple like, " I will be continuing my academic and athletic journey at (insert school)."

I’ll pass this along to potential recruits

Why? Because you're tired of hearing it? It's part of the presentation. Half of the kids that even get this opportunity will be irrelevant, average joes just like you and I within a few years. Let them have their moment. You have the freedom to not watch/listen.

So does the word “commitment” since these kids don’t know what it means.

And to post about where you want. The OP isn't wrong. These kids want to be paid athletes and they are, so no reason to treat them as kids.

I'd have more respect for one if he announced that "for the next 2 to 3 years, I've agreed to a contract to play football at blah blah University".

The way grown men act about the most irrelevant things always makes me laugh

IDGAF what they say. Just be signed to LSU in the end.

I don’t blame the kids for taking the money. Many of them haven’t had a pot to piss in their whole lives. However, I do blame them for braking a commitment. That shows a lack of character and moral upbringing.

That has nothing to do with the OP's states issue, though.

And you still used the statement the OP complained about. It will satisfy you, but not him/her.

Well, if the College Sports bill passes there won’t be anymore transferring every year, they will get one transfer, so you will see alot more kids staying 3-4 years soon.

add "respect my decision" after they decommit and recommit somewhere else, especially on the 3rd, 4th, 5th time etc...

“ my next dalliance is w these guys” when i feel it’s over ill hang w someone else …

"Dalliances" refers to playful, idle, or non-serious engagement, often in flirtation or trivial activities.

I will represent said university on the field the near future while I pretend to go to classes. Respect my decision.

I think it’s hilarious people make such a big deal out of this.

As if these hicks wouldn’t immediately jump to go work for another company if it meant more money for them.

Just jealousy I guess

These kids believe they will come in first or second year and start, most of them. Mostly because they are leaps and bounds better than the competition they are playing in HS. So some face a real shock coming in, then exit. Of course they “see” themselves at the one school for 3-4 years, but reality sets in quickly for most.
