Shea Dixon reporting that LSU is pushing hard for flip these past couple weeks.

Clearly some mutual interest between LSU & Brewster. Personally, I think this is the “nuke” that was floated a week or so ago.

Reasoning:
1) Easton Royal can’t be the nuke because he likely commits on ESD in December.
2) LSU just let Mitchell Turner, a DL we were pursuing, sign with Ole Miss.
- Would make sense if that was the case assuming we pulled off that target to pursue Brewster more heavily.

This weekend is absolutely loaded with talent. May be time to bring out the Mariano Rivera of recruiting.

This is how you win championships. Get this guy to flip and get Green to sign. Have the baddest d-line in the country and just bully people. Think about what Miami’s d-line did to Ohio State in the playoffs.

could you imagine combining these 3 with the haul we got this year with our freshman Dl. Imagine those guys together for a couple years, assuming they all develop and are as advertised.

The only way to get this guy is to pay more than Tech. It’s as simple as that.

Tech has 2 Young billionaire ex Tech football players that want to win. Type in Double Eagle. If they want him even we can't compete with Tech. Nor Texas or A&M. Those guys are loaded and want Tech at the top.

To be fair, Cedar Hill TX is about an hour and a half closer to Lubbock, than to BR. Unless family gets enough to fly every game weekend, driving and extra 1.5 hours is more

They sold their company for $6.4B. Todd Graves, by himself, is worth ~ $22B. I’d say we have a pretty good shot here

Calm down, that doesn’t fit his narrative.

He’s also forgetting that Holden Spaht is worth $4.9 billion, and the son of the billionaire Houston Rockets owner is 2022 LSU Grad, Blake Fertitta.

Heck, Shaq is worth in excess of $500 mil.

And that’s just scratching the surface. But people think we’re poor.

Brand matters. Texas Tech has never won anything, and will never win anything. The last meaningful football these current high school juniors and seniors saw before COVID was the uber-dominant 2019 National Champs as young kids. Add in the Kiffin factor and it's no surprise that a lot of talents are interested.

Texas A&M has the number 1 class right now so clearly it doesn't matter that much

LSU definitely has several billionaires in their corner but nobody is personally spending more than Cody Campbell.

Not even close.

LSU might be a hat on the table for the "final commitment" but with Brewster being the #1 overall player, Joey McGuire spending a decade at Cedar Hill and Texas Tech getting a nice refund from their gambling-addicted QB...I just don't see it.

You can always tell who doesn’t belong in recruiting conversations when they say something like this.

I think the best we can hope for here is driving the price up on Texas Tech. And I’m good with that. I feel like that’s becoming just as much a part of the recruiting game as securing your own guys.

Replace Texas Tech with Indiana circa pre-2024 season

It's a different age man
