If it’s true this fell through cuz his agent wasn’t happy with our NIL, then it’s a good thing.

Guarantee we had a great offer on the table, and the agent will just be going to the highest bidder.

Don’t need that poison in the locker room. I’m sure Dobson’s a great kid, but you can’t pay HS more than you pay your current star players on roster

Kid worried more about that front end money than backend money. Hope he’s getting a huge bag and not a couple hundred more.

He’s going set his price elsewhere. LSU will then be able to outbid if they want him.

We’re not paying his number. Onto the next.

It's dumb to pay huge amounts to unproven HS recruits. Those guys bust all the time. Save the stacks for proven transfers with 2+ years of eligibility.

There are plenty more highly capable CBs out there.

Let's forget about Tre White (1st rd injuries have killed his once extremely promising pro career), Jalen Collins ( 2nd rd who could have had a good career if not for PED use), Donte Jackson (2nd round and has surprisingly had 8 successful years as a full time starters starting 15 games last season), Greedy Williams (2nd rd), and Kristian Fulton (2nd rd and was a full time 4 year starter until last year and has injury problems) for a second.

BTW those all came from the 2015-2020 NFL drafts
Those are all 100% Corey Raymond CBs

From the 2022 draft to the 2026 draft, Corey Raymond had 2 top 6 overall first round picks at CB. How many other schools or DB coaches can you name with ONE top 6 draft pick at CB in the last 5 drafts let alone two?

You know who he also had in that 5 year span get drafted? A 3 star (close to 4 star, but still 3 star) CB in Cordale Flott. Flott went in the 3rd round, started 4 seasons, and signed a deal with the Titans for 15 mill a year (3 years), with 32 mill guaranteed in March.

There is no better DB coach out there. The fact that this dumbass agent is fighting for a couple hundred grand is insanely f-ing stupid to me. Yall do realize I LITERALLY only mentioned the CBs he coached? Did I talk about any of the safeties? Did I f-ing have to?

Like somebody else mentioned, Pickett will likely be a top 15-20 pick and Woodland could be a 2nd round pick after next season. Im sorry, but if you get an offer from Raymond AND it has really good money attached, why in the hell would you go anywhere else? He could literally be in a rotational role as a true freshman.

when do you guys learn with this stuff. It’s May.

If Michigan wants to make a big offer to him now, let them. I trust that Lane and LSU have a really good NIL plan in place. We’ve seen it already in action.

I trust that Billy Glasscock knows what he’s doing.

A&M is loading up on talent but they seem to be throwing money at out of state kids with no allegiance to the school or the state of Texas. That doesn’t always work out.

Committing to the money and not the school/coach. We’ve seen this movie play out before

Thats a silly thought. Evidently you havent been paying attention to the $$$ that LSU has to work with. If they want it they will take it.

You clearly haven’t seen the money Michigan and A&M have and are throwing around. Y’all can downvote all you want, reality is reality.

Michigan went all in on a Qb. Tell me what they spent on a new head coach? and here is their nil . Michigan anticipates spending over $10 million on football Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) for their roster. Under the NCAA's House settlement, schools have also begun implementing direct athlete revenue-sharing models that start around $20.5 million annually. Nowhere near LSU

Not good

Do you remember CB Patrick Surtain II? He jumped ship in the final hour and everybody thought the world was ending, and we were good. This is LSF’ingU, Corey F’ing Raymond, we gone be good. Corey turn 3 stars into superstars, like I said before Josh can sit back and watch DJ and PJ get drafted in the first and watch the next set of CB’s become superstars and early draft pics, this here is a factory.
