We haven't had a class ranked this poorly since 2018, and that's when we were going through a head coaching change.
A year after a coaching change…kinda like this year

feel like we have been saying this almost every other year for over a decade. Then Alabama and Georgia and 3-5 other random schools decide to spend millions on their class and we end up ranked 5th-7th every time.
Already have the #1 WR, expected to have Harlem Berry before the end of this month, and very good chance Underwood on Jan 6. That is as good a start to a class as we’ve ever had.

If BK means what he says about being elite, he is going to have to recruit elite talent.
8th best in the conference is simply unacceptable

I'm with you. Next year's offensive class will be elite. Chance to be the best ever for an lsu class.
I just hope we can say the same thing for the defensive side.

Keylan is a big step. He’s going to be a dude that helps this staff put this class together.
Brick by brick.

Lucky to be top 15. What's worse is the positions of need are bare af.

I honestly believe 2025 will be fine.
I'm just praying that kelly and company spend big in the portal. At this point they don't have a choice.
They are going to have to get a top corner, free safety, and at least one top d lineman.

The defensive staff should be embarrassed. Just flat out awful that these other programs who are bad or struggling have out recruited you. How the hells it happen

Let’s not sugar coat it. This is a bad class in comparison. 6th best in SEC and if you throw in Tx and Ok they are
8th. That is not going to cut it!!
Well shite!!! I guess we should just go ahead and not play the next couple seasons !!!!!!

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this year’s offensive class, either. Fix the defensive staff and fix defensive recruiting.

This class is going to cause problems in the future. There are some good players but we are missing the top end talent.

Not remotely true.
On3: 16 4stars, 10 3-stars
24/7: 2 5-stars, 16 4-stars, 8 3 stars.
But you knew that.

The problem with those saying people shouldn’t be star gazers is that the development by this defensive coaching staff is nonexistent. That was the key in earlier staffs and coaches like Aranda. He developed LBers, even if he wasn’t getting readymade talent in high star recruits.
You can’t say the same about this defensive staff. Name one high school recruit player on the defensive side that has developed in the last two seasons? Perkins is a physical freak but has not developed like he should because of misuse. DBs look awful other LBers look awful, DL has regressed.
That is why the concern.

Not according to the 2024 recruiting list that Chicken posted on the commit page.

The writing was on the wall earlier in the year, but we were told "it's only April/June/August/October". Well, now we're a few weeks out from signing day and here we are, with a class siting well outside the top 12.
I, and a few others on this board, were crucified last Summer for saying this. I'm all Tiger, but saw a bad trend awhile back, as did others. It's hard to hide the truth as they say...
