I like him. Don't know if he'd wait out Evans or if I'd take him over Clayton while waiting on Evans but I wouldn't be too upset if we took him.

I saw we offered 4-5 other TX kids today or yesterday. Glad we're hitting it hard especially the DL and DB guys. Texas is loaded at those spots I'm. About 4-5 kids at each of those spots id likely take right now. Loaded S class.

No idea. I’ve never seen him play. Never watched BSJ. Since he fizzled, I assume yes, but I assume you’re being a bit sarcastic.

I was told he’s basically the team on offense and his offers seem to indicate he’s really good.

Will never forget his old man running all over us up and down the field in The Swamp in ‘90.

I hope he is better than his dad. Not trying to take anything away from Emmitt, but he wasn't the greatest RB of all-time. He had great vision and was very hard to bring down, but that was as far as his excellence goes. He had a little above average burst through the hole, a little above average quickness and his top speed was average for a college and pro RB. Emmitt had a great Oline in Dallas and was rarely hit by Dlinemen. That Oline could get 3 yards rushing average just by blocking. Which meant Emmitt wasn't beat up like a lot of other backs. This enabled him to play a very long time for a NFL RB. He was a very good back, not great. Give him a good line and he will get good yards. If his son is a lot like him, yea, I'd take him, but he wouldn't be my first choice. I haven't seen EJ's highlights yet so I will reserve my opinion until I do so, but as of right now I'd take Kendall Milton over all the ones I've seen, and that includes Evans. Milton is an SEC type back. He can break tackles and take it to the house.

Smith is the greatest RB of his generation and one of the greatest of all time. I say this as a Redskin fan and someone that hates every Cowboy. He has more rushing yards than anyone in history. You don't get that by just having a good offensive line..

After watching highlights I see a lot of his dad's running style and attributes in him. He has very good vision. He has good agility and good speed but not great and he is slippery, hard to bring down, like his dad. I still like Milton over EJ but maybe not Evans. I'd consider taking EJ over Evans. I think EJ has better vision than Evans.

I actually agree with a lot of the premise of what youre saying , which i take as , Emmitt isnt as great as hes lauded to be.
He was still great and id take him every time. He wasnt the flashiest guy, wasnt the most talented. He wasnt gonna win a footrace or amaze you with his athletic ability. What he was gonna do is take the ball as many times as you needed him to and use his special innate abilities as a runner. With toughness, vision, balance and running downhill better than anyone else in his era. Take him every time.
Sanders was the greatest of the generation and in my opinion there shouldnt even be a discussion. He was a virtual opposite of everything i just admired about Emmitt, aside from lacking top end speed. The guy has/had the record for most yards lost in a career while, according to pace, racking up the greatest level of yardage gained in history. He was amazing. Under the definition of "breaking ankles" should be a picture of Barry Sanders.

Emmit not the greatest
Joe Montana not the greatest
Tom Brady not the greatest either.

Jerry Rice was great because he was fast and had skills right. The first 3 didn't look athletic and dont fit the bill. Or they did not jump off the screen at you when you see them play.

I guess they just happened to be 3 of the greatest players of all time. But who am I

You have to be a Saints fan that hated Dallas! That oline only produced ONE hall of famer in Larry Allen and Emmitt produced THREE rushing while Allen was still in college behind free agents and cast a ways. You need to go back watch highlights, because opinion is ignorant!

Drew Brees is the Emmitt Smith of NFL QBs! He will have all records, but never be considered the greatest player at his position outside of bias Saints fans opinions.

Sports fans get too enamored with physical tools. Emmit Smith is a great example of “being capable” versus “being talented”. He was one of the most-capable backs in history - regardless of his perceived physical limitations.

In LSU jargon, Keiland Williams was amazingly talented as a tailback - but Hester was more capable (of impacting a game in a positive way).

Wow, you are irritating. Nearly every post you make says something derogatory about the Saints. During the season you trolled the Saints board and when LSU fans posted upset about the Saints game on the rant you pounced on them. We get it. You're a cowboys fan and you hate the Saints. Please, for the love of God, grow up.

164 rushing Td's for his career which is the most ever by a margin of 19. I would say he was elite.... Top 10 RB's ever.

Ok smartass, I challenge you to find ONE post of me on the Saints board. I do not go on that board! I get pissed when Saints fans post anything about that team on LSU boards! It is not about your precious Saints. Save it for the Saints board.

WTH does this have to do with Emmitt Smith's son? Your hate for Emmitt?
