Sospher is not going to LSU, it’s alabama. And, this made me sick all the Alabama gear being worn around that small town. As O would say he ain’t coming

I only see transplants with bama logos. The kid has been paid for.

Is what it is...... I’m sure they’ll coach him up but they’ll have their work cut out for them. He should’ve dominated all year and just didn’t..

He must be ranked high for a reason, but the only game I watched was the Country Day game. He was so underwhelming. Only other videos I have seen, He has looked good in one on one camp drills but to me game film is more important. I wouldn't waste a scholarship on his brother just to get him.

He's got the size and ability. The attitude will change when he gets around motivated players/coaches 24-7. College coaches will make him into a player. I remember thinking the same about Lionel Turner in high school.

but I'm not sure we ever had a chance with this guy.
thats pretty sad. and it would be fine if we werent sold a bill of false good by the coach and AD that he was being hired for his recruiting prowess, to "put the fence up" around the state.
if LSU wanted to keep letting alabama having its pick of the litter of LA players (moses, allen, mathis, buggs, etc) we could have just kept Miles.

What is the old saying, better to let them think you're ignorant than opening your mouth and removing all doubt. There are 8 of the top 10 committed. 6 of the 8 to LSU. You keep displaying how ignorant you are. Just be quiet and quit making yourself look like a total fool!!

Mr England is speaking the truth. O was hired to win these battles. We’re in dire need of Dlinemen and he can’t get the best in our backyard.
We can’t win if these type of players keep going to Bama. Point blank.

That barber is bought and paid for. Sends all those kids to bama.

You apparently aren't familiar with Dave England. He's never been able to stop displaying his ignorance.

ESPN/ABC is bama’s best recruiter. After 5 years of hearing “bama, bama”, they’ve become the college version of America’s team.

LSU definitely needs to update their stipend checks to eclipse bamas.

Jesus Christ dude, shut the frick up
You’re mad at Ed Orgeron because a kid (or really, a whole town) was bought by Alabama and Saban
I understand that he’s not perfect, but the reaches I see to bash O on this board would make Stretch Armstrong jealous, holy shite
I don’t like to get political, but this is the same type of shite that you see with dems when it comes to Trump

Don't be disappointed when the kid at U-High flips from Texas A&M to Bama. Heard Bama wants him bad to play linebacker!

Meanwhile, LSU continues to struggle in both oline/dline recruiting something that was suppose to be fixed from the Miles era. O has not exactly done a good job in recruiting here on either side. Both sides have lots of disappointments in his short tenure here. The dline-U moniker at LSU long since passed. Everyone knows Bama cheats but I guess LSU can't pass big enough checks to compete with them anymore.
So keep spinning this. Be happy with what you have. A loaded roster at skill positions and weak in the trenches/QB. This is LSU life. Just don't expect to ever seriously compete for championships. As long as you understand that you're good.

The O line recruiting is picking up and we are signing kids who will provide quality depth and improve that side of the ball. I’m just as surprised as anyone with how lackluster our DT, DE, and OLB recruiting has been since that is Orgeron’s forte.

Main issue with oline recruiting in this class is it lacks depth. At the top it looks great on paper but we should be taking 5 olineman in this class and on the defensive side definitely at least 3-5.
I'm not sure anyone is going to leave at the end of this season but you do have that risk. I don't think guys like Lawrence have lived up to their billing. He's an okay player but I wouldn't say he plays to where people thought he'd be right now. You still have the risk they're leaving early so we don't have enough committed.
LSU takes too many skill positions every class. We must have 20 WRs on the roster at this point. We need attrition there I'm sorry and it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to let some guys walk at WR if it meant getting more lineman in this class. I'm favor of getting rid of the lower tier guys that are committed if not the WRs to make room for more beef. We need it badly. LSU's oline was awful this season and the dline was just very average with practically no pass rush capability at all. I'm not convinced Chaisson is the sole answer there you need more than 1 capable guy.
Positive side is you could potentially see all returning lineman next season. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm a little pessimistic there because someone always seems to leave when they didn't need to...

I agree 110% as the cost of yearly tuition (both in-state and OOS) are nearly identical for LSU and ALA. Sadly the LSU financial aid officers gave the NCAA a low $ number as ALA raised there numbers 2 years ago to be at the top of the SEC.
LSU even got passed up by A&M who originally reported around $3528 in 2015-16 ($392 per monthly check), as this number increased to $6294 in 2017-18 ($700 per monthly check).
Money means a lot to kids who grew up in lower/middle class income families and are already materialistic based on their social media profiles. If LSU doesn't make immediate COA adjustments to "keep up with the Jones" (other SEC schools) it will definitely effect recruiting.
I have no doubt that when other coaches sit down with recruits and their mothers during the in home visit, this subject definitely comes up.
