Any smoke on him transferring to LSU from tenneseee? Hearing he changed his social profiles from vol football to something about being from Louisiana. And Goodwin is transferring out as of today. Not sure if these are connected? Anyone have anything?

Not sure why any RB would be interested in transferring here, especially with Logan Diggs potentially being back next year. I think LSU is set with its backs in Diggs, Jackson, Holly and Durham coming in next season.

they should have taken him out of HS but I dont think LSU would be alluring to him right now if he is leaving Tennessee. Though it is very clear he can play in the SEC

I don't think they're connected. But I will ask his mom if anything is going on there. I do know he really wanted to come to LSU but they really really slow played him and that pissed mom off.

I don't see any reason he'd leave Tennessee, unless he's just not getting along with the coaching staff.

They're going to be better on offense next year with Milton gone. And they feature several running backs.

I don't see turning him down but if it's playing time he's after than it would depend on if Diggs is coming back or not. If you lose Diggs than I don't see any reason not to welcome him in.

Don't think staff will be going after RB this cycle in portal.

Totally agree. DT should be the target this cycle in the portal and Kelly emphasized that is where they will concentrate.

I I were him, I'd go to Mizzu. An NIL deal, and he'd be featured in that offense after Schrader leaves this year.

I don't think they are necessarily desperate for a RB. But I also don't think they wouldn't consider any options that potentially come available. For instance, I don't think Kelly was necessarily looking for a QB in the winter of 2022. However, when Daniels entered the portal they explored that option and, obviously, decided he could be a benefit to the team.

Right now the only RB definitely leaving is Emery. But given the nature of the position, it's not unreasonable to think Diggs and Williams may consider leaving as well. RB has the shortest shelf-life of any position in the NFL. Teams are reluctant now to give even the best RBs a big second contract. So the thought it to try to make it in the NFL as soon as possible with a much "tread left on the tires" as possible.

If they go, you are likely looking at a backfield of Jackson, Holly, Durham. You suddenly go from "deep" to inexperienced in a year where you are probably going to have to lean on your RBs more than you have in the past two seasons. Sampson is a guy that has experience and some degree of production in the SEC. If he is someone who wanted to come back home I think the staff would at least consider the option. Just like they did with Diggs

100% should have been a HS take. Same with Jordan matthews

But LSU can’t take him with what’s coming in 25 and Durham in the fold

Williams, Holly, Kaleb and I think Logan Diggs comes back. That puts you at 5 and then Bradford.
