Don’t forget safety. The QB of the defense. Maybe the guy for aTm will be that guy but Downs from Bama was worth big money.

Going further I would spend all resources on DT. A good Dline makes everyone else better. See lsu 2003-2011

Not necessarily thrilled Burns returned to limit one of the aforementioned playing time.

Agreed. Makes for a potentially awkward situation with the new coaching staff this fall. I just hope they play the best players

Matty B of On3 questioned the Brown take. He’s physical but small.

He still watches 50 times the amount of tape that you or I do.

I got through 1 quarter of 2022 Wisconsin vs OSU before becoming bored

They’d need to get rid of some guys in order to add any more. They’re already over the 85 player limit. I’m assuming they want to get to the spring and evaluate everyone before making those kinds of decisions.

Sure but I’ll value the opinion of people who do it for LSU and Ohio state more.

There’s a reason he works for on3 and isn’t a college analyst.

We need at least 2 linemen, 2 cbs, 2 lbs,and a fast def end. Jr college players with experience have not proven to be able to play sec ball.

So, you want half of a defense through the portal right now? Wow...

No we don’t. 2 CB and 2 DT? Sure. We’ve got plenty of LB’s and enough defensive ends. They are not going get 8 players in the portal.

Savion Jones couldn't even set the edge at end. Now yall think he is just going to move inside in the sec. Wtf

I think Jones was better his sophomore year at a lighter weight. He moved slow this past year. Wouldn’t mind seeing him trim up some vs putting on more weight and slowing down even more.

Not necessarily "you" specific but remember this the next time anyone points to our class being ranked 3rd on on3. Having it both ways only works with bisexuality.

2 new studs at DT
2 new studs at DB
requirements for LSU to contend in 2024
Otherwise, LSU is gearing it all for 2025.

Either he played slow because he’s a freshman or he’s just not a great athlete. Really hoping it’s the former. For as much hype as he got in fall camp, I came away disappointed that he never got better in the games. He had two plays against Wisconsin (one for a TD and one a big completion on the final drive) where he just looked in athletic in trying to make a play.

Stamps played with an abdominal injury the back half of the season and had to have surgery right after the bowl game.

You could say the same about anyone at 247. Do you really think the rise of analyst staffs across the P5 over the last 15 years hasn’t impacted recruiting services? Most of their staff who aren’t team or national leads today are either super young and just getting started looking for a way up, or guys who either can’t or don’t want to go into coaching. A lot of guys who would have been working for one of the services in the past is doing similar work for a P5 program today, especially on the recruiting side.

Did BK ever discuss this injury? I don’t recall him mentioning Stamps with an injury

Would hopefully help explain the lack of athletic twitch he displayed

I'm guessing some depth moves will be made post-spring.
