He is not giving any clues to his Pops that tge thing, he has only said he made his choice after Bayou Splash time but not sure that LSU made up enough grounds on others, my gut says OSU

You'll get downvoted, but it definitely stings. Texas keeps their elite defensive linemen in the state....but then reaches into Louisiana and takes ours as well.
It's especially frustrating when you look at our current DL class and our general need over the last few years for elite DBs.
Taking the next step this year will change a lot on the perception of the program.
If we win the SEC or make the playoff, I think we immediatly catapult back up to the Georgia / Bama / OSU level of attracting recruits. Top level guys in and out of state.
We're already in the mix with elite players. We make a lot of Top 5 lists. And while we might be a hat on the table, we made it to the table. They just need to see us back at the top of the mountain before they buy in.

I believe even if he picks someone other that LSU, they still have time to change his mind before NSD, I can say he younger brother does like the good guys so that’s good news, maybe be a Venus and Serena thing where lil bro ends up better in the end

Have you not learned anything from any of LSU’s championships since 2000? Yes, LSU gets its share of 5 stars but they win championships with 3 & 4 starts. Hell, they turned a 2 star WR into the best WR in the freaking NFL.
Look at Georgia. They won back to back championships with 2 star, walk on Stetson fricking Bennet.
Don’t get caught up in star gazing. Look at offer lists.

Yeah but look
At game breakers like perkins.
5 stars do matter

LSU will always get players one way or the other. For every Hootie Jones there is a Jamal Adams.

I think OSU would be the pick if not for the distance. I've heard that his little brother is enamored with LSU as well. We can only hope it all adds up to him coming to LSU.

Some kids get a big head when they see their rating and think they’re too big for the in-state school.

Bruh Georgia has had either the number one or close to it class for a few years. My left nut could QB that team to a title. That's the difference between teams like LSU and teams like Georgia and Alabama. They stay in titles because they recruit top 2 to 3 classes every damm year. You think Georgia working on a 3peat by molding 2 stars?? Lol

NIL isn’t the problem. It’s the transfer portal that’s the problem. Why not take the biggest bag when you know if things don’t work out you can just transfer to wherever you want. If they tightened up the transfer portal it would make these kids really think about just going after the money.

Kelly said after the Jacoby Matthews bidding war that he wasn't playing the bidding game that would destroy his locker room. A$M was said to have paid $30m for the best class in history that had a terrible locker room, bad characters and a 5-7 season. I wonder how LSU is approaching Underwood and McIntyre? That's the position that you have to have. ... McKinley? Good luck and God bless you no matter where you go.

UGA has been far from a model program. Some talk about the loss last season, in the SEC Championship Game, as a blowout. But seem to forget the previous games of 18 and 19. In 2018 ranked #2 in the Nation, UGA, they left Tiger Stadium with a 20 point loss, the same 20 points that we lost to them in the SEC Championship Game. Then in 2019, a 27 point win, only wondering why we took our foot off the gas. We could have named the score that night, much like the following two games, UOk and Clemson.
In the 2000’s only one team has won and played in more National Championships, than LSU. We did it with the last three coaches, what are the odds we go back to the National Championship and win? Two of those coaches couldn’t have won a National Championship anywhere else but LSU.
In recruiting you’ll lose kids, but at times, it doesn’t matter, we lost a bunch of kids during the 2000’s, but still played in 4 NC, an won 3, any other school done that? The list of the top players leaving the state and doing well, the percentages are very low.
As for stars, we had 4 True Freshmen starting last season, Taylor, Jones, Campbell and Perkins, only one was a 5 star, think your two starting OT’s should have been 5 stars? How about 3 star Taylor? I’d trust Kelly’s evaluation and development of players, he’s done it everywhere he’s been.

Is that all?
I could have sworn they consistently had top 3 classes every year.
Guess I'm mistaken.

“Ground to make up” excuse is so overplayed. Just say you feel like another school is the best place for you and they are offering better money.

Not really, these are the type of players the program needs to legitimately compete for championships. We were told Kelly would come in and get the Sedrick Van Pran type players, yet here one goes walking out the door.
We have one 3* DL committed for this class and that’s it.

They have, some years have done better than bama. I wonder how they’ve lost games.
