I would be hard pressed to know why he would want to leave. The deal he signed was pre-current rules so it would be hard to re-create that deal, even if a school wanted to.

He won't get as much as his initial deal with UM.

But what if the refinery manager at Exxon was married but banging the cute little HSE Manager and then threatening to shoot Roman candles at the cat cracker if she turned him in?

Michigan poster said, Underwood would have to pay to get out of the nil deal for next year.
The year after he would not.

They can go. His deal was for 3 years. He hasn’t gotten the full amount. There’s zero breach of contract to hold any player getting paid. If Underwood enters the portal you can bet that Lane will go strong.

Yes, they’re calling him “went down on the price, Bryce”
Posted on 12/12/25 at 7:35 pm to TigerLSU1515
Yes. Every single team would go for him.

Well, did anybody think Underwood was going to get great QB coaching with Michigan run dominated offense? And do anybody think Lane Kiffin won't get better production out of Bryce if he were to sign with LSU? Where did Trinidad come from? And look what Lane did with him. So all you fans who feelings were hurt when this kid jumped for 12 mill, GET THE "F" OVER IT!!!!! It's all about winning.

So if he goes to Bama, Georgia, or Ole Miss everyone is good with that??? Don’t think they aren’t trying to get him. We need Underwood for the next 2 or 3 years!

I want whoever Kiffin wants. He knows QBs better than I do.

Unmistakable the guy has talent and skills. These talents need to be developed. Lane is the guy that can turn Underwood into a Heisman candidate and first rounder. The question is the cost benefit analysis.
Sam Leavitt got two years of eligibility left and has equally good credentials. LSU is in competition with Miami for his services. Lane will evaluate and make the right call. IN Lane I trust! Doesn't this seem like trying to pick the winning thoroughbred horse for the Derby.

“He picked his side”
In a competitive NIL market, he took his highest offer. By the way it wasn’t even close.

He didn’t look as good as I thought he would, even for a freshman, so no, not for the money he wants.

Does anyone actually want Bryce Underwood now?
Not for $4.5 million!

With all that said, I personally do want him. Pair him with a strong vet and then let them compete for starter. What Lane Kiffin did with Dart is exceptional. He did it with QBs at FAU too. Some forget he took a converted RB in Sims, and produced, at the time, the statistically single greatest season for an Alabama quarterback. Underwood has ELITE potential. Untapped potential.
Do we expect BU to walk away from $3-4mil per year or do we have to go outbid UM for him? Are you willing to spend that kind of money on BU after what you saw from him last year. There is enough tape on him to make that evaluation of talent untapped or not.
I trust Lane in that... I do not trust the RB for that.

Its not what I want, it’s what Lane wants. If Lane wanted satan on the team I’d be for it
