I guarantee you Brown, Anderson and Duece Geralds numbers got leaked and they were way more than what the 3* dl was getting paid. I get the feeling this is going to be the norm anytime we sign a high profile recruit. Breux hopefully has a moderate number we can match. We cant keep trading youth and potential for on the field production.

I feel like he’s just trying to get some money the next couple of years. Breaux has been a good part of the rotation for us, but he’s not a sure fire NFL lineman. The opportunity to make money in football may be the next few years for him. I hope we are able to retain him, McKinley, and Mathis at least.

He is extremely mediocre, and that is being nice. It’s hard to play DT in the SEC unless you are super human.

Just because someone enters the TP doesn't mean they'll transfer. This one has "I want a NIL increase" written all over it.

Ehh given the entirely new staff I bet he's gone. He probably wanted a number we wouldn't give. Someone will get desperate for an experienced SEC DL.

I don't know if you ever really know what ya got in a interior defensive linemen until there junior and senior seasons. I think he had potential to improve and become more disruptive as he matured.

The whole staff is mostly intact. Only changes being made on defensive side is Kyle, and from what I hear, that is pretty mutual, and that is not a bad blood thing. KW essentially doesn't want to coach college. Posted on 12/8/25 at 3:35 pm to Laman1978
It's the nature of college football today. Every year, contributors will enter the portal because they are getting an offer to play somewhere else for more money. Probably what Pyburn, Peyton and Gooden did coming to LSU last off season. LSU just has to spend money wisely. That's why these GMs and all these new front office positions are being created. The business model has changed. It's about fund raising and spending money on the right players.

.5 sacks as a sophomore. I think he may have developed, but I agree this is not a huge loss. Can find equally good or better in the portal.

I think more of a year 2 jump was expected than what occurred. He’s a reliable rotational guy but replaceable.
The more I watch Geralds the more I think he plays a role next year. His hand usage in some of the camp clips look really advanced and he’s super explosive. His play style is more what you’d expect for a smaller DT to be able to get upfield. I think his projection is more Wingo than Breaux which is what you want for an undersized DT.
