Did O lock down the state ?
Did he ever get all the top 5 in LA?
What’s the best he did out of the top 10?

I think everyone needs to chill. This cat will need to gain a good 40 lbs of weight with that frame to play DT in the SEC and he will need a couple of years to develop. Out of all 4 coaches from OU, Texas, A&M, and LSU, Brian Kelly is the only coach that I can for sure say will be coaching at their school in 2 seasons. He can always transfer if he’s good enough and if he busts then at least we are expending resources on someone who can make an immediate impact.

One thing is certain, Dom wants to be out of state. All other team's recruiting him have been named as his leader in recent weeks with lsu an afterthought.

Which is completely normal for a lot of young people.

Doesn't mean this dude has some vendetta against LSU or that we somehow blew it trying to recruit him.

Might just be as simple as a kid who wants to get far away from his hometown for college.

This, unfortunately, is a really hard concept to grasp for people that have never lived more than 25 miles from where they were born.

I’ve lived abroad and all over the US and the grass is not always greener. I was even a CU season ticket holder for a decade. Louisiana has a GREAT college football culture, far better than any other school he’s considering. He won’t get to experience that, he won’t get to be a Louisianimal. It’s a pretty elite instate brotherhood and it can’t be replicated. Personally, any south Louisiana kid who goes elsewhere, I feel legitimately sorry for. I would never say they made a bad decision or begrudge that decision, but I know what they miss by suiting up for the Tigers on Saturday nights in the Fall.

It doesn’t matter, all of these kids who are clueless are going to be in the transfer portal after their freshman year. Jumbo is slime and everyone ( including players) know it. If it’s all about the money, then it’s a shallow reason to put your future on the line for.

I really think it don’t matters where he goes. If he were to choose us it still won’t be enough by himself to fill the need. We have an arse load of “ATHLETES “ committed when we need DT and NT more. F’ the faggies. Some are more motivated by the ole mighty dollar than state/school pride. It happens. Now the real question is who is left in the pool that is good and we aren’t to late to the party with.

Is this the new saying for we can get all the recruits we wanted “they’re not aligned”. No disrespect cc but, this staff doesn’t impress in the recruiting area so far, there not pulling huge studs we are used to seeing

Sure, if you ignore Perk, Campbell, Jones, Howard, another Howard, Womack, and about another 25 blue chip players over the last 2 classes.

Fix your grammar, dork.

We haven't even seen a full BK class on the field yet but the ones who have earned playing time sure look like studs to me. Probably more incoming too as his classes fully transition to starters on the field.

Also, when you say those studs, do you mean all those guys who O recruited to get top 5 classes only to have them vastly underperform or transfer out? Some couldn't even play because their academics were so bad. I will take quality over quantity any day of the week. Especially since Brian kelly has already proven he can put a coaching staff together that can develop talent.

Tldr: don't star gaze the numbers only.

No it's not but it's the phrase for our program after the clown show left.

None at all my man! LSU has never landed 10/10 of LA's top players. Les and O never did it. Why does everything think that the man when he was hired known as not an elite recruiter doesn't do it?

Yes I know it sucks losing McKinley but his mom is a teacher of 20+ years and seems to want him to get out of state. I know it sucks because he's a position of need but you can't land them all.

Our last class was on the high end of a typical LSU class and this class is going to be in line with the avg over the last 23 years

Learn something about LSU recruiting before coming spout bull shite in here

Who cares. If we really thought they were worth the $$, we would pony it up.

Someone posted that half of the top 25 teams had DL as the top recruiting needed. That tells me either you overpay for a highly ranked unproven high school recruit or you try to find solid quality players in the portal that you can pay a reasonable NIL. 5 of 8 on the 2 deep DL depth chart are portal pickups. I’m thinking Kelly is leaning portal.

Some people are too ignorant to explain that to. It’s either 11 5* players per class or it’s a colossal failure to them
