This! Just like they did with Moses. Fans will read anything and run with it. Don’t go @ Bryce with BS. That doesn’t do anything but make our fam base look bad and can put doubt ina young kids head.

If you think a few 100 folks on here not buying nike items is going hurt them NIL wise, I'm sorry to tell you it will not affect them at all.
All we need them to do is pull a Dylan Mulvaney in a hurry.

How good are Oregon's Offensive Line and Tight Ends going to be? It's not just the skill players. A big NIL offering to a QB pales in comparison to an NFL deal. Nike's stock has been in a free-fall over the past number of years. I expect Phil Knight cares more about the performance of his company than how well the Ducks play on Saturdays. If Phil wants to turn OR into college football's version of the New York Yankees, I'm not sure if that will make economic sense in the long run. His board of directors may pull the plug on him.

LSU's Brad Davis will continue to develop offensive lines that better protect most QBs from career ending injuries. Spending big money on Moore does nothing to protect Underwood . . .

All that we've seen come out of Underwood is that he has his eye on the main prize. Joe Sloan is presently at the top of options to assure Underwood best perfects his skills for the future.

He is using his personal money, not Nike's money, to fund Oregon's NIL collective.

You didn't deserve the downvote you got.

It doesn't matter how much money Nike has. If they dump money with no ROI, their board will boot him. How much of his own money is he willing to fork out and how long before his kids lawyer up and say the man is senile?

The divas will jump ship for $10k. The smart players will recognize where development is possible.

We want the smart players.

For two, he's not taking any other visits. He's not even talking to any other schools. He is always decked out in full LSU gear and talking up LSU. There are even reports from this week that Bryce's family has been heavily involved in the Derek Meadows recruitment.

Yeah, we really have no idea what kind of conversations are happening between a recruit and a school but every single action that the Underwood’s have done he committed have not led me to believe he is still looking around.

The thing is, they're not getting generational wealth. Jayden, Malik, and Brian will be getting generational wealth from the development they received at LSU.

You don’t think Bo Nix got generational wealth? He was awful at Auburn and got turned into a top 12 pick by going to Oregon. Oregon had 8 players drafted this year. Some of y’all are delusional.

No I’m not salty about players being paid.

You literally just said it was making you not like college football lol. How is that not salty?

There’s got to be some rules in place. Even pro ball does for goodness sake.

Pro ball has restrictions because the players collectively bargain for them as employees. Based on your comments in this thread, I'm gonna assume you would not like to see an employee model in CFB

did you even read that guy's comment? When he says the players aren't getting generational wealth, he's talking about NIL money, not NFL money.

This wildly misunderstands what's going on. Phil Knight's NIL influence is not so much from Nike itself as it is from the fact that Nike has made him personally mega-wealthy. He's not operating his company to give ridiculous deals to HS football players, he's giving his own personal money to HS football players (through their collectives, I assume). Oregon kids no doubt get pushed toward the front of the line for Nike deals/sponsorships/endorsements, but those deals are ultimately "real" NIL deals (as opposed to collective bag-drops) that are universally available to any athlete of comparable noteworthiness. It's not as though Nike Inc. is cutting a $3m check to Dakorien Moore with the understanding that he'll come to oregon.

The way Phil Knight leverages Nike to benefit Oregon is basically like LSU baseball with Marucci. The difference is that Phil Knight personally is worth a couple hundred times more than Jack Marucci personally.

If he’s wanting to win championships and the Heisman and go #1 in the draft, he will have the talent around him at LSU, and will damn sure have a hell of an offensive line protecting him.

frick Oregon. But this is inevitable. Just hope we can keep him. The melt here would be tremendous and I’d absolutely be melting too.

Yeah. I hope he doesn’t, but I also hope he does because that means he had a bad arse season in 2024.

Doesn't mean they will succeed. It just means they are trying to buy a championship.

It didn't work with A&M let's see if it works with Oregon
