I hear you loud and clear. I just wonder the criteria for NCAA investigations. Is it we go after anyone that poses a threat to Bama?

This is about the only reason CR is choosing bama that i can see.
OL pedigree. Plain and simple.

Andre Smith - 1RD - 6th overall
Antoine Caldwell - 3rd round
Mike Johnson - 3rd round
James Carpenter - 1st Round 25th Overall
Chance Warmeck - 1st round 10th overall
DJ Fluker - 1st round 11th overall
Barret Jones - 4th round

Koundiajo will be a 1st rounder this coming season.

What has LSU had picked on the OL in the last 6 years?

Barksdale - 3rd round
Herman Johnson - 5th round

Faulk, had he come back was likely a 1st round pick without injury and at least a 3rd round pick had he played.

That's it in Miles tenure. You absolutely cannot deny that. That's an atrocious track record for OL.

That was a big big steal for LSU. The best linebacker in the state of Alabama stolen out of Sabans backyard. Kwon will ultimately be a better prospect than Landon Collins. Watch it happen.

Kwon did not have a offer from Bama. They didn't have room. Sure glad we got him though.

Posted by JJ27 0 first round picks for LSU OL, Bama had 3 last year alone. It's definitely a factor.

I don't think "factor" is the right word. Justification or even excuse is a better fit.

As others have stated with the kid picked in the draft last year, the NFL will find you regardless of where you go to school.

When it comes down to it, there are several reasons he might be choosing Bama, and none of them are really good. We've heard stories of handlers in his ears who have something personal to gain by pushing him there. Or perhaps it's the fact that Alabama is the logo/brand de jour similar to what schools like FSU, Miami, Nebraska, Georgetown (in basketball) and other teams have been in the past. We all know someone in our lives who has been the biggest Chicago Bulls/LA Lakers/Miami Heat fan in the world.

In that case, he is either naive OR it says something about his character, and I personally believe that's a bad trait to have. But I also know he's a 17 year old kid and some concepts may take time to learn.

It will hurt LSU in several ways if he does choose Alabama, but it's not the end of the program by any means. LSU won't be forced to play only ten on offense. No floodgates will open or fence will fall.

Miles has also had a very very run dominant offense the last three seasons due to poor qb play. Seriously, most of our offensive lineman are mauling run blockers... not balanced guys who can adequately pass block (biggest example is vadal against clemson last year and why I think guard is more his natural position).

Cam Cameron's hiring also has to mean something to Crob too... he's a former HEAD pro football coach who will undoubtably stress balance which puts alot of pressure and focus on left tackle play

We have more going for us (LSU) than anyone cares to see or admit...

all everyone is seeing is first round picks and "best friends" with hummers

That was actually kind of my point -- people looking into it as if it meant The End when it could quite likely just mean he's following his buddy's coaches.

Everyone making excuses for this kid now because Bama has more lineman in the nfl. Lulz
If that was the case then why didn't people just give up from the beginning.
