Before becoming HC at West Monroe, Coach Don Shows was building his legend as my head coach with The Pineville Rebels.
I just called my former mentor Coach Shows and had a pleasant Conversation. For much of the call, Coach Shows pretended to have no idea who I was. He's such a kidder.
As the conversation turned to Cam, Coach Shows was pretty much as tight lipped about Cam's recruiting as he was my own. Being a former player,he conceded in giving me some odds. It's currently 50/50 Bama-LSU.
As the call concluded Shows called me a pussy like old times. He told me to keep my cell phone with me and start running. He said he would call me back when he got tired.
It isn't much, but I thought I'd share.

I think the biggest problem for me if he chooses Alabama is because I know somewhere in the back woods of Alabama, off a red dirt road, in a 1974 single wide trailer with 4 junked out cars with weeds growing up through the hood will be a poster hollering on the interwebs about how Saban owns Louisiana and takes what he wants.

why would this upset you though?
just go about your day and remember that Cam choosing Bama will be that person's highlight of the week, while you hopefully have better things going for you in life

I don't think the timing means anything, it's just before his season gets started.
I'd be willing to bet that at some point between now and Friday there will be a ray of hope from the LSU "insiders." In the end it will still likely be Bama though
