First play looked like something I saw on Reggie Bush's electric high school tape

First pass play was thrown 60 yards in the air; perfectly placed too...

I was coming post the same thing. Legitimately 64-65 yards in the air.

Dude has a cannon, he makes several wow throws. I’m talking 20 yards downfield outside the numbers, from the opposite hash off his back foot.

The kid is full of all kinds of talent. If Brady could get him quicker on his reads to find the open man, he would be UNSTOPPABLE.

That is the only quirk one could pull from his tape. Doesn’t always see the open man, and is A tad slow going through his reads. I’m betting his senior season will be off the charts after corrections.

I agree. I would like to see more reads from him but his Oline looks like it struggled a bit. That and his receivers look a little slow.

Elite running and great arm that can just flick it downfield. He can study a year behind Brennan and learn how to be faster at his progressions and then look out.

Is anyone else really unimpressed with his accuracy? How is he so highly rated?

I've seen a lot of HS QB highlights over the years, and I haven't seen very many who were MORE accurate than Caleb. And the thing is, these are junior year highlights. He's got another year of high school to get better.

I'm really not sure what you thought was so unimpressive.

Edit- He makes a lot of back shoulder throws, which are by design, that I think you may be misinterpreting as inaccuracy.

From a pure physical standpoint he is among the most gifted QB's you will ever see.

Ludicrous arm strength and mobility is off the charts as well.

Brady can take this kids raw ability and turn him into an outstanding QB.

Nobody will ever be Joe Burrow, he is a one of a kind talent with a football IQ that is way off the charts, but that doesn't mean Caleb Williams won't be a special QB in his own right.

First thing is first though, sign him up!

I agree, in terms of nit-picking for things he could work on, that would be one.

But, at the same time, for a high school junior, I am actually very impressed that he goes through his progressions so consistently. A lot of kids his age are skittish and looking to get the ball out to the first guy they see, or just run.

And for a kid who can run as well as he can, I'm impressed with how he keeps his eyes downfield and is still looking to throw, up until the last moment before deciding to throw. I think he's very polished for his age, and knowing he has another year of high school, and Joe Brady waiting to coach him up if he comes here, has me super excited.

i noticed the same.. and that comes with experience... a few footwork issues too.... and his completion % worries me, but it seems like hes always running for his life and throwing deep balls a lot so that affects that #... he doesnt seem inaccurate though when he sets his feet and fires

The third play - where he throws an out route from the opposite hash mark - is particularly impressive.
