Patrick Surtain is the biggest. LSU lock for 2 1/2 years and 24 hours before signing day him and his dad spurn LSU. He’s one of the best CB’s in the NFL, but screw that dude.

Surtain was a tough one,but we should have seen it coming. He was never committed to LSU, and he took his official visit to Alabama on the last weekend before signing day. It also happened to be the weekend Alabama was holding their National Championship celebration.

Janzen Jackson was committed to LSU for a long time. He didn't sign on national signing day. The next day he signed with Lane Kiffin at Tennessee. Rumor was Kiffin talked him into leading LSU on. He ended up being convicted of manslaughter in California.

Surtain's snub gave us an extra scholarship. It was used on a transfer QB named Joe Burrow.

I remember, he stated that it was the hardest decision he had ever made in his life, and that he cried all night the night before, because he loved LSU so much. Either something very very fishy was going on, or this is one that just never made any sense.

Gunner Kiel was another one.
5* QB who was committed and set to EE with LSU and then misses the EE meeting and moves into the dorms in Southbend and enrolls at ND.
That one had lots of people scratching their head.
