Caleb Holstein from St Thomas Moore (Lafayette). Saw him split time with a SR QB against Catholic BR and wasn't terribly impressive but Catholic's defense dominated all night. But since then he has been playing full time and his numbers are really good. Big kid, with pretty good feet, and a cannon. Only a Sophomore. Watched a TV game recently and he was pretty dominant.

What year is Arch Manning at Newman - he's got to be a FR by now. Should be hearing about him starting next year I would guess.

While watching the prep playoff pairing show, Louisiana Football magazine guy said he will be national recruit in coming years. Remember he’s only a sophomore. Word is Vermilion Catholic has a good looking Freshman to go along with Jaime Howard’s boy (ascension episcopal) who’s in 8th grade. Acadiana area will have 3 good ones

Garet Kahmann, 6’3” sophomore at WM. Mom is in the LA Tech HOF for volleyball. Dad was a pitcher at Tech and he’s 6’6”, maybe taller.

No way will a Manning ever suit up for LSU.
Archie will never let it happen.

Kahmann is a great runner, but can he throw the ball? He goes about 6'3" 170lbs?

Archie despises LSU.

Through that, his kids learned to despise LSU.

Through them, their kids will learn to despise LSU.

He’s about 190, not 170. I’ll ask him tonight how much he weighs exactly and lyk. Yes he can throw. He’s an outstanding all around athlete. Made it to state as a freshman throwing javelin. Made it to the top 28 on varsity basketball. Of course made it to the Dome last year as well.

Keep an eye out for Marquis Garrett from Crowley High school. He is just a sophomore and has taken over the QB position and has played well. He also played on the varsity as a freshman. He is about 6'2-6'3 and has the ability to run. He will be one to keep an eye on in 2 years. His father, Shane Garrett, was a blue chip all american back in 87 and played for Texas A&M and played professionally for the bengals.

Another younq QB to watch is Keilon Brown at Zachary, also a soph. Took his team to the 5A state semis last season and doing well this season.
