This. I didn't realize he played line at LSU. Still, he ended up as a great LB for the Dolphins. I remember one game where he intercepted multiple passes from the linebacker position.

Cedric Figaro, Lafayette High 1984. Was Parade All-American. On Parade All-80's team... went to Notre Dame.

Played for the Rams too, I think.

He coached my high school for a while, he was an a-hole.
He did jack shite at Notre Dame and even less in the rare instances he played in the NFL.

Derek Robinson from denham...

Freshman all American at auburn... Transferred back to southern After getting a girl pregnant.

Played for the raiders and cards.

He was pretty damned good in high school. As was stansberry.

Roderick royal from glen oaks was a beast in high school... Back to back defensive 5A MVP but never really played much at Florida.

Where was Robert pace from? Ruston?

He was QB at Sherwood Middle 93-95, and AFAIK Mr. Sherwood; of course a star at Glen Oaks. He ended up wrecking shop at Mcneese St and I believe got drafted in the 7th round.

Mewelde Moore also played some FB for us but hadn't grown up yet, IIRC he was around 5-5ish in middle school and very small.

Roderick was a freaking MAN At age 15. At least 6'" 170. Beastly doesn't even begin to describe it.

Jonathan Raush went on to play some offensive line at ULL; can't think of any more Falcons that ended up playing major college football.

Bo Harris - (Captain Shreve HS; Shreveport) All SEC and starting LB for Cincinnati Bengals for several years in late 70's and early 80's. Not sure if he had any all-pro years,

He did have several pro-bowl years. He was also a good baseball player.

Great names mentioned, but how about Raynoch Thompson. Great nick name too - Ray "knock your head off" Thompson.

The best Pro careeer probably belongs to Roy "Moonie" Winston. He played for 15 years (1962-1976) with the Minnesota Vikings. I think he had a few Pro Bowl selections. He played in four SuperBowl games for Bud grant in the early days of the Super Bowl.

He was also named on the Vikings Silver Anniversary team in 1985.

Winston was the left fielder on LSU's SEC championship baseball team in 1961.

He did have an impressive career, my dad used to talk about him a lot. George Bevan, Mike Anderson, & Michael Brooks were also great. The biggest 'bust' would have to be Adam McConathy- Player of the year in La., goes to LSU, doesn't start, his dad gets pissed, has him transfer to Texas, where he disappeared...at least that is the way I remember it, maybe someone else can shed some light on the McConathy story.
