The problem is that Nuss will be starter next year, so anyone that comes in has to be ok being QB2 at best and most players in the portal aren't looking for that. This is something the coaching staff already knows and are working on getting taken care of.

That said, safety, offensive tackle, and defensive end are more pressing concerns than who the backup QB will be.

Hurley’s arm is the best part of his game. What are you looking at?

Not everybody in the portal expects to be a starter immediately.
Underclassmen are looking for greener pastures, even if they recognize a need to further develop to be a starter.

That doesn't change the fact that a backup QB is far less important than several other positions.

A consensus 5 star in his class a top 32 player nationally and YOU don’t think he has a SEC arm. Where do you people get this shite from seriously??? Is there a newsletter or email chain. Where???

That would be ideal for LSU. I hope they find one.

I'd assume as the bowls start playing out, a bunch more players are gonna start jumping in the portal. Staff may be waiting to see what other options we have for multiple positions

Most people didn't see where he was ranked before he reclassified. When he did, he was a 4*.

My only concern is his accuracy. I think arm strength is overrated and accuracy underrated by most fans when looking at QBs. If his accuracy is 60% or better, he has the arm strength to have success here.

What?

Now?

Not really.

The QB rooms is just fine for 2025. That’s the era of CFB you are in.

You play it one year at a time.

Hurley needs to get 45% of the reps in the spring to see where he’s at. Then go into portal if need be.

Agree. Need a QB in the program this year to compete next year. Look for a Freshman.

First of all, what do you mean “you people”….

Arm talent implies strength, quickness in release, and accuracy…go watch spring practice videos and then come back here and tell me the guy has SEC arm talent. The internet and my own discernment is where I get my opinions from, a-hole.

Hurley is going to be 18 next year? May not be ready until his redshirt So or Jr year?
Guess we are riding with Swann. Just pray Nuss stays healthy all next season with a new OL.

Not in person, no…but the Spring Practice/ Game videos indicate less-than elite arm talent
