You seem to be making the same mistake the kid is. You are confusing being disappointed with being victimized.

This is what people don’t understand: you can make these crisis control statements all you want, but the rest of us don’t have to believe a word that’s in them. It was clear this kid chose Colorado for Mel tucker based on his previous tweets. Now he realizes he looks like a complete arse and wants to walk it back to save face. Can’t do that in the Internet age, son.

That's ridiculous for those that say commit to the school, not the coach! You can't build a relationship with a building or its history, but you can with a coach! Why do coaches want as much time as possible with the players? They want time to build a strong relationship that they hope will land a commitment!

And it's stupid that he needs to save face at all, especially since he's right and Tucker did lie to him. He is well within his rights to be upset with him.
