Are people just assuming because he's a Manning that he'll be a monster by the time he graduates?

Yes, but its a pretty safe assumption. He has all the physical tools, and he'll have his head on strait, will be able to handle ups and downs of the position, and has been groomed to be a qb from the time he was born. He will have learned from some of the best what it takes to be successful. All that stuff matters, but you could also say it about walker howard and max johnson.

I’d give arch about 10% chance of going to ole miss

He’s going to a National program. LSU will have good QBs but so will most of the other schools.

I’d be shocked if lane is even at OM in 3 years

Cooper is much different than peyton and archie.

Cooper loves the saints and lsu.

If arch wants to go to lsu he will let him.

Is it just me or does he have a weird release? It looks very short almost like he's shot putting the football.

He's obviously very accurate with good arm strength, but it looks kind of strange.

I think LSU has a better chance than most people think. He isn't the type of kid to run from competition. Those practices with him going throw for throw vs Walker would make both of them better. LSU can sell themselves on this. Come compete and become better than if you were handed the job at another school. That is how Alabama landed Najee.

Check out Najee Harris interview on the Pat Mcafee show. He talks about why he chose Alabama and it had nothing to do with money. Saban's formula to landing so many top notch recruits is selling them on their need to prove themselves in practice against equal or better competition.

Meh, we have The Truth coming next year.
Arch aint seeing the field while Howard is here. He is great, but his last name is making too big of a deal.
Howard is as good or better passer (tough to know since arch is year behind) and a much better runner overall.

Both have unbelievable vision and obvious game knowledge

I think the kid is very talented for a sophomore, but he’s not better at any facet of the position than Walker Howard. People who think otherwise are fooling themselves. I think he’ll go somewhere where he can be the starter by his 2nd year.

i'd say our chances of landing arch are about 10% on their own.

id say UGA probably leads but a lot depends on who the OC is going to be when he's there.

LSU has a shot. At least more of a shot than it did when Eli was coming out.

Walker Howard and Arch will both be competing as Freshman at the same time. Unless Howard walks in and beats out Johnson/Finley/and Nuss, he will be redshirting resulting in a massive QB battle between the two 5 stars.

If Arch decides to step in and start somewhere else, look for LSU to grab Holstein.

You said it, not me. But I agree completely.

I may be a little biased since I’ve been at every game Walker has played in high school.

They guy is never coming here. And not because the Mannings may hate LSU, but because Walker Howard is a 5 star QB who will sign with LSU one year before.

Yep. As much as I’d love to have him, this simply isn’t how QB recruiting works in 2021. Arch ain’t following one class after Walker Howard, just how Clemson didn’t get another 5* in the class directly following Trevor Lawrence or DJ Uiagalelei, just how Bama didn’t get another 5* in the class directly following Tua or Bryce young.

Just not how it works

Excellent point my friend. This is exactly the problem we need to have. It will resolve itself if we are competing for nattys the next two years. Like these you mentioned.

You don’t see top QBs sit because if they are actually great players they can beat out the incumbents

Top QB recruits sit and wait at Ohio State, Alabama, Oklahoma and most recently, Clemson every season. It’s LSU’s time to join the club.
