Cam Cameron is the best offensive coordinator in college football. LSU will be lucky to keep him for all three years of his contract.

Les needs to find someone for Cam to mentor as his replacement for the time when Cam leaves.

What are you talking about, Cam has talked nothing but how much he loves LSU and how it feels like home. He even made a statement that he wants to possibly retire here. After this year, he'll start getting paid very good money for years to come. Besides, him and Les are extremely close, best friends. I wouldn't think he'd be leaving right now....

Cam Cameron is only 52 years old.

If he stays all three years, he will be making about the same as he would make in the NFL as a top offensive coordinator and should be very happy at LSU.

However, if he is as succesful as I expect, other big-time schools will be courting him with multi-million dollar offers.

What if Texas offered him 4 or 5 million dollars/year to come to Austin to replace Brown?

What would you do if you were him?

I believe some of our competitors are using the spin on the role of skilled position players that it doesn't matter who the OC is, that CLM will be just as involved in play calling in the future as he has been in the past. It would seem that Fournette of all people could see this and would have already been committed to the Tigers. He might rewrite the record books if he were to play 4 years.

I actually don't think coaches negative recruit as much as fans think, but Fournette staying 4 years deserves a

Do you even know if the guy still wants to head coach?

I'd stay in BR and finish up the last two years of my contract...

Pretty sure he doesn't want to be a HC! People were saying this about Chavis also....

And potentially take over for Miles if he retires any time soon, then elevate Frank Wilson to OC.

I'd think Frank is being groomed to eventually be the HC at LSU. He just needs to hire great assistants and you're set!

I doubt if the big offers come before his contract is over. By then, LSU's offense should be hitting on all cylinders.

I think they will all love him once we start laying 40 and 50 points a game on opponents!! This team is madly underestimated and I love it!!! This offense will look much diff then last.... Two more tall receivers, a very good but young TE plus TD @ TE, Blue back, I think Terrance M will surprise..... The D will be fine if not better then last.... ST might take a hit but then again we may not need as many FGs this year? And the shep/Noil comparison is just dumb!!

I was actually joking that Mack Brown wouldn't survive the year...

I bet if he wins less than 9 games, his seat will be on fire.

Yes, if Texas goes 8-4, Brown's seat will be white hot, but Texas would have to get pretty far down their list to get to Cam Camereon. No offense to Cam, but his record as a HC is not exactly sparkling and given that part of the problem with Brown is that he looks old, I would expect them to look for a young upcoming coach, (Shaw, Peterson) not an older guy that's is currently an OC that hasn't been a HC for a few years. However, if they did offer, he would have to go, anyone saying they'd stay to make 1/4 of the salary to be OC at LSU are just being homers.

Tejas' first call is to Tuscaloosa with a blank check, just in case. Hair dye does wonders for appearance.

Believe me, I will walk to T-Town and move him by myself to get him out of Alabama , but the only place I'd think he'd go is back to the NFL, though obviously he'd be the exception to Texas wanting a young, energetic coach.

As every year passed almost all the receivers passed Shep on the depth chart. He was a great ambassador to the team and hard worker, but just didn't have the skills to be a good receiver. Sometimes you just can't coach hands and overall receiving ability.

It isn't alarming that in 4 years, the coaching staff was unable to find a place for a better than average athlete like RS to contribute?

stop trying to hijack the thread

it's about Cam and his influence on our recruiting class not about RS10.
