I've never seen speedy catch a pass, I wouldn't know how his wr skills are.

Back to the original post, from what I'm hearing, guys aren't getting a hard on for the new coach.

More like a Cam on.

And Speedy goes to camps and DOMINATES at WR...whereas Shep would go to camps and look unpolished at QB.

Reuben Randle and Early Doucet both played QB in high school and still came in and contributed greatly as underclassmen.

It sounds like you are the ignorant one.

he said that as a high school senior, he's a more POLISHED RECEIVER than shep was as a college senior...

the dude hasn't even had half a year of college coaching yet and he's more polished???? come on man

Somewhat surprised there haven't been more Speedy comparisons to Mike Vick...they move so similarly to me...

Because he's that good. Don't give a shite what you think. Speedy is elite and you are seriously underestimating him while overrating Shep.

If Noil was on the team last year he would have played over Shep.

hold on brah, I never once said that noil didn't have the POTENTIAL to be the best ever at LSU.... I just think it's asinine for someone to say that he's more polished than someone who has had four years of college coaching and he's not even playing the WR position right now

Cameron Robinson or Doug Planchard as a Senior? Who you got as more polished?

Planchard hands down if a towel is involved.

Comparison is valid though because they'd have a similar position. A Percy Havin, Shep kinda role. That slot big play guy

ehhh, no bidy will be sauing when will noil throw a pass. completely diff imo. Shep was rated as a ual threat qb. Noil is rated as one if the top wrs in the country.

Cam Cameron is the best offensive coordinator in college football. LSU will be lucky to keep him for all three years of his contract.

Les needs to find someone for Cam to mentor as his replacement for the time when Cam leaves.

I'm thinking Cam really helps us with Speedy. He may feel more comfortable with cam running the O so that he wouldn't become the next Russell shepard.

Okay but you're still overestimating Shep. Travin Dural was a true freshman last year and would have started over Shep. Beckham and Landry started over Shep their true freshman year and Boone/Wright took playing time away from Shep their true freshman year.

As every year passed almost all the receivers passed Shep on the depth chart. He was a great ambassador to the team and hard worker, but just didn't have the skills to be a good receiver. Sometimes you just can't coach hands and overall receiving ability.

Plenty of experts have seen him in person playing against the best cornerbacks in the country. Speedy has impressed them more and more each time with his receiving skills, even though he's barely played the position.

Won't stop negative recruiting. I'm sure there are coaches using Shep against LSU when recruiting Speedy.

I believe some of our competitors are using the spin on the role of skilled position players that it doesn't matter who the OC is, that CLM will be just as involved in play calling in the future as he has been in the past. It would seem that Fournette of all people could see this and would have already been committed to the Tigers. He might rewrite the record books if he were to play 4 years.
