Guess they got Julio Jones to call Thomas. I’m guessing they are trying to sway him again.

Alabama is pulling out all the stops until he commits to LSU, then they will say they cooled on him.

They have been trying to sway him, I just think our coaching staff has been at him harder. Will be interesting to see what happens as this confirms that Thomas's recruitment is coming towards a commitment.

Didnt realize it was legal from NCAA perspective for former players of a school to be able to act as a representative on their behalf and make recruiting calls.
They have tried curbing the 'bumps' between recruits and celebs such as Shaq when he returns to Tiger Stadium. He used to shake their hands and tell them they should go to LSU.

It’s not.

They get the recruit to call the former player and make it seem like an organic thing that happened between the two parties without the institution involved.

Nah we’re definitely recruiting him hard, it’s just tough to pull a kid from LA, especially when you already have 2 WRs just like him committed.

Bama does not have 2 kids like Thomas committed. They covet Thomas bc his skillset is different than their other committed receivers bc he is a bigger WR and not a slot guy. Listen to the link on the post bud

Jacorey Brooks and Agiye Hall are extremely similar to Thomas. All 3 are 6’3/6’4 jump-ball type receivers

I suspect Saban wants him so they won't have to defend him.
He didn't have much success vs Chase, Jefferson, and Marshall. Why take a chance with Thomas.

They have 2 receivers that are 6’3 committed already and another speedster as well.
Thomas is very similar to the two committed, I’m pretty confused by your statement. Sounds to me you’re spewing shite without looking at what Bama has.....

There are 25 spots in each recruiting class . No coach spends one on a player so he does not have to defend him on the field. Coaches recruit to fit their needs not to to counter opponents or to keep them from signing elsewhere or to spite another program.

Short of them paying his family an absurd amount, this recruitment is over. There’s too much smoke with Thomas and LSU right now and Nick knows he would be the best receiver in his class.

Time to contact the SEC and NCAA and report this violation. They should be forced to stop recruiting him.
