Don’t believe everything you read from Florida insiders…him going to portal was a body blow so they came up with some bullshite to make the kid look bad.
I think LSU wants him badly and I think he will be an upgrade over S. Jones

I'm thinking the coaches have a mindset to start Pickett at safety his freshman year. I thought that when I started paying attention to his tape and given fit. I feel the coaches have to see it live and in person to feel comfortable starting him at corner. He's gonna start. No doubt, but I think they asking him to consider safety at the outset.
Plus, he is damn tall for a corner, i should know, im 6'5 and tried corner and considered myself to have track speed or close thereto. There's a reason you don't see it at all really at that height.
Tough to get them hips to swivel and burst with foot to ground revolutions in order to keep up with elite speed WR's standing 5'9-6'0. Had to realize sheer physics is in play at the college level and beyond. He can get some reps in practice but I see him as a safety incoming.

LSU is making boss moves.

So weird when people take paid information and frame themselves as insiders

Except for the fact that in Kelly’s first year, he hit on a ton of transfers to build back a horribly depleted squad to go 10-2 to win the SEC West. That includes Jayden Daniels and an entire defensive secondary.

That thing on social media about his list of needs were fake. He’s a quality SEC starter either way
Didn't his agent come out and say the stuff about playing time was real?
Playing time was the main reason he left Florida. He wanted to be promised playing time and they wouldn't so he left. I don't like that either.

Don't know much about Pyburn other than he reportedly tried to ransom Florida so they told him to walk.
That report is so sensational I don’t believe it. If it is true no school would be wasting their time talking to him.

Give me those 3 and then go get two more quality starters at OL and either 2 solid safeties or 1 more CB and 1 starting safety depending on the coaches plan for roles they envision like mentioned here and then I feel like we have upgraded our roster based on potential and experience anyway. Can’t control things like health and stuff like that but feeling really good on the additions and potential additions and how well we are addressing obvious needs so far

Who are you referring to?
The OP gave credit to Shea…are you an idiot?
And I for one enjoy people bringing information to the board and don’t care where it comes from.

They better be fake. Messing up locker room chemistry is not worth one decent starter.

A lot of the portal guys we’ve gotten were bargain pickups or hometown discount guys

The 23 portal class ended up being pretty damn good once we got a real DC. Swinson and Shand were seen as disappointments and both were great this season. Zy Alexander was just starting to turn the corner when he got hurt. He was one of the best CBs in the SEC this year. Diggs was our best RB by far. Anderson was one our two best WRs all season.

Yeah Joe Burrow, Jabril Cox, Jayden Daniels, Mekhi Garner, Mekhi Wingo, Kyren Lacy, Aaron Anderson, Jayviar Suggs, Jarrick Bernard-Converse, Zy Alexander, Bradyn Swinson, etc. totally sucked and didn’t contribute to LSU football at all……..

Could it be that Pickett plays Safety? Wasn’t he the #1 Safety recruit in the nation at about this time last year?
Zero chance Pickett is playing safety. Kelly called him the best corner in the country during the signing day presser he is playing boundary corner
