How many of these did they count towards the 2019 class?

Could have walked on for all we know.

247 shows Michael williams as a transfer in our 2019 class, but he was never on scholarship and never counted against the 25 for us.

They signed 27 in 2019.

In 2020 the got 24 LOIs, 2 transfers and Caden Clark, who is listed by Alabama as a Grey Shirt, but he took official visits to Alabama so that’s a no no.

Well one of their transfers (Car Tucker) played against us.

Apparently Saban has paid off google as well because I couldn't find the answer by searching either.

Lsu needs a 35 signee roster this year with all the departures and transfers and opt outs. Very depleted roster for Lsu

Bama recruits the way Mickey loomis manages the salary cap. It’s magic and shenanigans so that every year they seem to pull a rabbit out of a hat.

This is why I’m against removing a 25 scholarship limit. Bama would take everyone they could just to hurt us.

Simplistic thinking. BAMA, like all other schools recruits to fill needs. It has nothing to do with any other program.

Wasting your time. Egocentric people think every phenomenon that occurs is aimed at them. But they never ask themselves things like, when LSU signed Deion Smith out of Mississippi were we doing it just to hurt Ole Miss? Of course not.

I don't think the rule you're referencing applies to transfers and it definitely doesn't apply to greyshirts. Any school can grey shirt a recruited player. You just can't have a recruited player be a walk on.

I'm not getting your point here.
Walk on players are allowed to play in games.

See a post like this every year. Then bama signs more than 25 and people are surprised.

That evans scholarship was such a waste.

They would've had an extra scholarship for an o linemen or defensive player

I'll never understand signing Evans this year and Little in 2019. Those were just total head scratchers to me.

Scariest thing is Bama has 14 early enrollees.

They take over 25 with transfers every year. If they want Roberts, they’ll get him too

There’s rules, and then there are the rules $aban tells Emmert and Sankey he intends to follow.

I mean it’s not even fair how good saban and Alabama are at recruiting. It’s Bama then everyone else!

To me, this is how to get the best bang for your buck if you cheat.

Go find some big raw offensive linemen that are headed to FCS/G5. Have a booster pay their tuition, expenses (which, with TOPS is relatively low). They greyshirt, then they can redshirt and they can then be put on full scholarship after two years. You will find 1 good player out of 5 and potentially a great player out of 10. These players would be 6th year seniors, with the greyshirt/redshirt.

With the portal, there is always a few scholarships under the 85, so this would not cause any scholarship numbers grief.

True, but like Carl Tucker transfered in but I doubt he was put on schollie, more than likely a walk on. He already has a degree so this is not a big deal for him at all, I would Imagine more than likely we have other guys who were on schollie but gave up their schollie rather than to transfer. Bear Bryants Grandson I doubt is on schollie but signed with Alabama. I believe we take Roberts, Arnold, and JTT to finish off this class. 27 or 28 This cycle will sign... Plus we willget schollies when Mac,Surstain,Waddle, and more than likely a few more underclassman go pro. We will also have a few transfer to other schools...
