Why not? May not be important to some but for him it essentially was a key factor to qualifying for the next level where the huge expense of going to college is now “free”.

A lot of public schools average 15 to 17. That’s a really good score for someone who might not be in a good learning environment. Not everyone goes to Country Day where the average score is 26

Pretty sure Opelousas Catholic isn't a public school but it is in Opelousas so point stands.

The first 2 recruiting guys he mentions are LSU guys.......If he’s good enough he will get his LSU offer.
We discuss this every year. When the instate school offers it better be commitable.....Out of state you can sling offers at the wall and see what sticks.

I mean that blaming a low ACT score purely on the "learning environment" as if it would magically go up 10 points if a person went to a different school is ignoring all of the current research literature regarding intelligence.
